New England Patriots receiving sensation Wes Welker is the coverboy for this week’s Improper Bostonian.
Welker tells the weekly that when he moved to Foxboro from Miami he made a beeline for Boston!
“I’m a young, single guy, so when I got to New England I was like, ‘What am I going to do, go home and watch TV all day?’ ” Welker said. “I knew I was going to live in the city. There’s so much to do in Boston, it’s great to just walk out the door and have everything right there.”

Have you heard a Jonathan Papelbon interview? I think the crazy closer has Welker beat for "ya'knows", "umms", "I means" and "I'll tell you whats".

Yeah, but Paps' own manager, Terry Francona, said there's no danger of Papelbon being affected by the Sports Illustrated curse (being on the cover) because he can't read. Schilling also said something similar. Who cares though, Paps is the freaking man; Welker's not bad either.
