the Colts (12-2) became the first team in NFL history to win 12 or more games in five consecutive seasons. Indianapolis and the 1992-1995 Dallas Cowboys had been the only teams to win 12 or more games in four consecutive seasons.

No doubt Polian has been trumpeting this one to his cronies in the press, just as a couple of years ago he issued the proclamation: "We Indianapolis Poliannas have won 30 straight games in which we actually tried! The 5 losses we incurred during that span were in games which we deemed unimportant, or in games in which we didn't try too hard, or were insignificant playoff games!" Now we have another stunning accomplishment from this pompous crew: The Indy Colts are the first team in HISTORY to win 12 regular season games 5 years in a row!
Unmentioned is that during their "unprecedented" run, the Colts regular season record is 62-16. The Patriots regular season record is 64-14. The Colts overall record is 69-19. The Patriots overall record is 73-16.
IOW... Even with 2 regular season games remaining + playoff games, your NE Pats have already won more regular season games over a 5 year span than any team in history; And more total games, regular and playoffs combined, over a 5 year span than any team in history. Now THAT's a record worth mentioning.
