The basic problem with all of you is NOT really a problem, it is WHO YOU ARE. You all are, to a man, good, honest hardworking Joes and staunch Patriots fans.

Who is this Roger Goodell and what reason could he possibly have to DENIGRATE, DEGRADE and attempt to DESTROY the Patriots franchise, and by DIRECT ASSOCIATION, its' LOYAL,HONEST,HARD-WORKING and LONG SUFFERING fanbase?

Well...let's take a look shall we and see if there is ANY kind of red herring or indication of hidden bias, shall we?

Roger Goodell
Roger Goodell, named the NFL's commissioner on Tuesday, has a long history with the league. On his resume:

Previous job

• Named NFL executive vice president and chief operating officer by Commissioner Paul Tagliabue in December 2001. Among his duties was serving as president of NFL Ventures, Inc. (which oversees the NFL's business units, including media properties, marketing and sales, consumer products, international, stadium development, special events, and strategic planning). He also ran the league's football operations and officiating departments.

• 1982: Joined league in 1982 as an intern in the NFL's offices in New York.

• 1983: Worked for the New York Jets in public relations and administration offices.

• 1984: Returned to the NFL's offices as a public relations assistant.

Accomplishments

• Involved in launch of the NFL Network and negotiations for the NFL's television agreements and Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFL Players' Association.

Personal

• Born in Jamestown, N.Y., on Feb. 19, 1959.

• Graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in 1981 with a degree in economics.

• Serves on the boards of the national and New York chapters of Big Brothers & Big Sisters.

Well...isn't THAT just so convenient...starts out as a JET intern, then a media shill, lives in N.Y.,is behind the MAJOR BB critic channel, the NFLN and ran the NFL officiating department, which (oh,say it ain't so, Joker!) considered EVERY SINGLE RECOMMENDATION by the satanic Polian and instituted every Polian rule proposed.

You guys think he is our unbiased commisioner....when in fact he is nothing more than a NY Jet mole, lifelong NY advocate and in DIRECT OPPOSITION to one Mr. Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots Football franchise.

I find his actions this season REPREHENSIBLE, his motivations BIASED towards his DOCUMENTED roots in the league and his continued sham as "commisioner" a slap in the face to ANY true NFL football fan.
Whoa fella put down rifle and climb down from the bell tower! That's a lot of info to claim because he had a low level jets job 24 years ago means he has an agenda is a stretch. If he wanted to truly ruin the Patriots he would have dragged out the investigation instead of realizing that although it was a bull**** infraction he was forced to punish the pats and he did it quickly and sternly. Unfortunately it backfired because the severity of the penalties made the offense seem worse than it was and by working quickly has allowed the conspiracy theorists to run rampant.

I don't fully agree that it is love and kisses between Roger Goodell and the

Pats. I think BB will hold resentment against the Commisioner until his

dying day. BB probably feels he did nothing wrong and was punished

much too severely....

I agree, and by Goodell, with perfect timing to make the Patriots really howl in disbelief, sends the lackey rookie referee and his crew to shamelessly steer the game to the Colts at INDY. Don't think this is lost with BB and Patriots Nation.

No conspiracy, R.I.

and if you really ARE from R.I. then you KNOW exactly why I feel the way I do...don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining...I've seen this same kind of of nepotistic crap played out on town, city and state levels for 50 years. Goodell fines BB 500 K and then says Mangini did nothing wrong even though he had TWO cameras filming a YEAR earlier. He's dirty...AND he's lousy at concealing it. I already posted the whereabouts of Polian and Mangini the week before opening day...BOTH at the NFL offices in NYC...Goodell's offices. He's the broker in all this Spygate nonsense and his action/non-action proves it.

Although that stuff about the Indy refs is a myth, I do wonder how officiating crews are selected for the playoffs and Super Bowl.

Anyone got any info on that?

Except of course to be the first team ever to win every game in a 16-game season, set a regular season win streak of 19 straight games, beating the old NFL record of 18 straight, win the division, earn a bye, earn home field advantage throughout the playoffs, and do it all with fewer injuries than any of our previous superbowl injuries.

Yeah, except for than, we ain't done nothing.

I think that she means 16-0, before the playoffs, not 19-0.

Homer fans really get to me sometimes. I'm not totally unbiased of course, but to think Goodell is the devil because of what happened is absolutely ridiculous. If it was any other team you would be saying he was too leanient. What do you expect? The Pats broke a blatant rule after teams were already warned a few weeks earlier, so he punished them. That's the way life works (or at least most of the time, as it should)....you f*ck up, you get punished. Case closed.

where's the Jet punishment for DOUBLE the cameras AND lying they had BB's permission to use them?

I'll wait....

BB...fined a HALF MILLION DOLLARS...the team ONE QUARTER MILLION DOLLARS....plus A FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK. For ONE Quarter.

Mangini does double the offense...FOR THE ENTIRE GAME

Nothing but disclaimers from Goodell.

"Unbiased!!!!"
"We got what we deserved!!!!!!"
"Just because he was a former Jet employee doesn't mean he's biased. BB BAD!!! Mangini GOOD!!!"

You'd have made a terrific Neville Chamberlain.

Nope, if the Pats win thier next two games, thier regular season winning streak will stand at 19.

Wow, take off the tin-foil hat. The CIA has turned off it's thought-stealing machine.

BB was a (gasp) Jets employee. He was also a Lions, Browns and Giants coach too. Do you think that he has any bias toward any of those teams (minus the Jets, of course). Goodell had a low level job with the Jets for one flipping year over 20 years ago.

Goodell is the Commissioner for all 32 teams. He has to be as impartial as he can. If he were playing favorites, then he'd lose his job pretty quick. I'm sure some of the multi-multi millionaire owners wouldn't be too happy if the Commish was giving one team (or several teams) special treatment.

Kraft is one of the very power full owners and has a boys club with jerry, author and other big bucks richest owners. goddell works for the owners.

btw , nfl is a business the usual ad slot for a game in nfl network is 85k and already the gaints game slots are going for 200k a slot. if you think as a top executive hs is dispointed that he is making money to make the owners happy and get his bonuses and salary ....you are crazy.

this gaints game is forcing cable providers to step up and might break the grid lock. think about it ravens+pats game was the most watched monday nighter in 20 yrs....do you believe espn and nfl office is sad they are racking in the money you are nutz.

DO NOT MAKE NFL A CHARITY RUN FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME....ITS A BUSINESS AND THIS THING IS MAKING SOME CRAZY MONEY.
