He was a monster yesterday. The past three weeks you could see his game beginning to elevate.

This is very exciting because it adds a new dose of adrenalin to the team.

The other big positives have been AD really turning it on (perhaps because he can run freer as an OLB) and Tedy Bruschi playing his best ball of the year (I had been VERY down on him the first half of the season, but he has looked far better lately).

Say Ow! has been consistent all season long and has been vital to the team.

My only concern on D right now is I hope Sanders and Vrabel are alright.

Yeah, it looked really good. I hope it is not just a function of the weak offensive line of the Jets.

If AD remains primarily at OLB, I expect him to get even better, as well.

He played great, of course, but he looked a little rusty compared to what I remember from watching last year in BAL games. i.e.: Over-pursued a few times, nit-picky stuff on a few plays.

it's that time of year again, when the D in Foxboro shine in December and January

Richard looks to be back

Why isn't anyone talking about trading Seymour for draft picks this week? Maybe because he looked like his dominating self this week vs. the Jets... Just in time for the playoffs. Richard is going to be a force the rest of the way.

Re: Richard looks to be back

Although, I should reserve my opinion on him until he plays a real line

Glad my previous post was merged, good to see I'm not the only one who thought that Richard might be back to his old self. He was a beast last week. I heard Peyton peed himself watching our D on TiVo last night :D

It probably is no coincidence that Seymour's elevation in play made for a much easier day for Thomas, which allowed him to shine. Thomas replaced Colvin who is on Seymour's side of the line.

I could look dominating against the Jets O-Line....

That's fine, maybe you're right. To me though 93 looked a bit more like what we expect. He wasn't eight vs Pitt though, who also doesn't have a great line. The coming weeks will show whether Richard is back to form.

I never worried about Seymour. I do wonder if he has bad knees, though. I think some guys do.

Correct me if I'm wrong medical people. I know he's often had problems, even when he was playing well.
