They actually did ruin a team's perfect record this year!

Look, I don't believe I've ever started a thread here before on PatsFans... but I can't help but think that if you are an NFL team, you've got to have some pretty insane talent on your team. The Ravens went 13-3 last year and this year, they packed it up and mailed it in. They're quitters. How good can they be? Well, they showed that a few weeks ago when the only game they cared about came up.

They could have won the game - maybe even should have - but in New England, we are blessed with a team who truly cares about winning each and every week.

Was I upset the Pats didn't win by 100 today? Yes. But only because that would have been a boat-load of fun. What I appreciate most about this team is that, they may not always give an "A" game, but they'll always give an "A" effort.

Just the fact that there have been so many on this board today that have b#tched and moaned about a 14-0 team speaks to the fact that fans can be fickle. I'm not pointing fingers, and I'm not even absolving myself because I'll be the first to admit that I am 100% irrational about my desire to see this team go 19-0.

What I do know is this team has an unquenchable will to win. I love watching them play and I am awed to think, that in this day in age, a team could actually pull something like this off.

5 games left. Only 1 away game (yeah... the AFC is considered HOME team in the SB).

What we're seeing, in a salary cap era, may never happen again.

Brian Billick ruined the perfect record. I have to admit when the Ravens had 1st and goal with at the one with 12 seconds remaining in the game they should of ran one play. Cowardly on his part and I can now see why he has lost many of his players on that team.

Maybe Ray Lewis was right all season about this guy?

While it's easy to blame Billick, he doesn't play the game on the field, he doesn't have temper tantrums, he doesn't throw yellow flags into the stands, and he doesn't choke when executing a play correctly means the difference between winning and losing. While I'm not a Billick fan, it was the Ravens' players this season that couldn't perform in key games that has the team sitting at 4-10.

If you can get up for the Patriots because they are undefeated, then you should have no problem getting up for a winless team as well. What the team is realizing today is that it is far more of an embarrassment to lose to the Dolphins than the Patriots. Had they realized this before the game, the Dolphins would be 0-14 this morning.

Jim Rome's ripping on Billick right now... doesn't trust his team to move the ball 3 feet but chooses to take the chance the coin flip will go his way and his team will move the ball the length of the field????

I don't fault Billick for the way his team choked against the Patriots. He kept his cool but his team didn't. But that was a very poor coaching display yesterday.

I didn't see the game, but in all the replays on ESPN they said it was 4th down when he kicked the ball.....not 1st and goal!

The ball on the one play occurred at the end of regulation. The replays ESPN showed came in ovetime. On both occcasions, Billick showed no guts.

No the play they showed was at the end of regulation. The guy caught it rolling out of bounds at the 1 and it was 16-13......they kicked it to go to OT but ESPN said they had to becuase it was 4th down.

I'm the farthest thing from a Billick apologist, I'm just trying to figure out which version is true.

ESPN, of all things: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/playb...yPage=tab_play_by_play&season=2007&week=REG15

Fourth and goal at the one, 12 seconds left.
It's easy to second-guess, but I would have run it. You have a chance for one yard and a victory against one of the worst defenses in the league, why not take it?

Being that it's the ravens i would have gone for it....but if he did and missed he would have been killed for it. Tough call, but either way they are done in a couple weeks

bills have ravens 2nd round pick next year from mcgahee trade. if this keeps up that will be something like 34th overall.

Why not take it? if he had failed we would all be sitting here saying he should have just played for overtime and we would all be blaming him for the loss still. If you loose in overtime people aren't gonna see it as your fault as much as failing a 4th down with 4 seconds to go

Your team is going nowhere, one yard vs overtime where anything can happen; gutless not going for it.

And the Ravens owner has him coming back next year? What a joke.

didnt they bring in mcgahee precisely for that kind of situation?

Great point; if you can't get one yard vs the worst team in the league, you don't deserve to win, period.
