Pats take C. Long. Gholston goes to jets, which is annoying, because he would be attacking Brady for years. Ryan goes to KC, IMO a good move. Maualuga to the cardinals. Personally I doubt Mangini would draft Gholston. Too risky. He'll take someone safe and boring, like he is.

Again, I have a hard time seeing so many RBs go in the first round. Regardless, this is the best mock I've seen. Atlanta really needs McFadden, to sell tickets as much as on-field. Maybe we can entice them to trade up.

Don't they need a QB even more badly? Big name QB's sell tickets too.

Sure do. But is there any QB in this draft that excites you? Me neither. Hell, they'd probably be better off signing a guy like Kerry Collins or Sage Rosenfels......or Matt Cassell!

I was going to say this was among the best mocks I've seen to date, as a lot of the picks make sense to me, but I don't think there is anyway so many RB's go in the first, and it seems like they bunched a few of them up toward the backend of round one.

Read what Drew Boylehart says in "12-0 coincidence? I don't think so!".

I think that's available for free.

Delusional ranting against the patriots.

My Lord that's a man with a big axe to grind. He's not that Giants' secretary's husband, is he?

Yes, I wrote out the well worded response (actually 2 or 3 of them) to that...

Saying you like a player and how he plays is now tampering according to him.

I hate how some people get fixated on something and just will not let it go no matter what the evidence to the contrary.

Where would we play C Long? DE or OLB? Would we stay in a 3-4 or morph into a 4-3 and let Long be the elephant rush end ala Willie McGinest of the Pete "the rete" Carroll era.

Overall, a very well thought out draft that isnt a replica of all the others. However, I can not see SD using a 1st round pick on Steve Slaton. They have other needs and a RB is not one.

I can't tell you who the TOP QB is in collage so I'm sure most Falcon fans don't know either. Its about selling tickets and making money.
Remember, with Vick they had some good teams but won nothing.

I'll take a tradedown and S Kenny Phillips:D please or LB James Laurinaitis:D

Why wouldn't San Diego be interested in Slaton, especially if Turner departs? Slaton is a tremendous play maker and a unique change of pace back from Tomlinson.

Realistically San Diego could find the WR and ILB help they so desperately need in Free Agency.

Because I believe that AJ Smith is a good GM, and good GMs won't spend a first round pick on a backup. Basically the same reason the Pats won't draft McFadden. In fact it would be even worse for SD, because LT might be the best 3rd down back in the NFL, so you'd want him on the field in those situations that Slaton would be most useful. They'd be better served in picking up a three-down RB later in the draft.

I think that you need as many play makers as possible on offense, and based on where the Chargers pick, there won't be that many ILB's to choose from, so Slaton should be a great play making option for them.

I would go CB or DL and look to pick up a guy like Kevin Smith/Jamaal Charles/Allen Patrick/Ian Johnson on Day Two to pair with The Dainian.

Anyone ever heard of that "Forfited" kid they have us taking with our 32nd pick?
