Attendance for Jets Game?

Has anyone heard any numbers on how many people actually went to the Jets game? Just my visual estimate based on how many empty seats I saw, I wouldn't be shocked if the actual attendance was around 25,000.

More than that were there. The red seat folks stayed inside with the quiche and chablis, not that I blame them this time. Running inside to relieve the prostate, I was surprised to see how many lower level fans were inside the concourse, eating and drinking. Why pay for seats and parking just to eat and drink? WTF?

I would estimate that starting around the 2nd quarter the seats were probably close to 75% full (even the red seats were probably half full). So by that estimate the attendance was probably at least 50,000.

I was surprised at that, too. Not tailgating beforehand I wasn't in need of a restroom break but I did go up to buy a Pats mug of hot chocolate (my oldest son collects them) to warm up a bit.

Richard is probably about on with his 50K, I was going to say to 45K. We were crammed in like sardines as usual in our section.

We had some empty seats around us in the 300s, but there seemed to be tons of people hanging out in the concourse and they were pretty deep in standing room section above the banners. Funny you mentioned the men's room too, the lines were shorter than normal. Of course it still took you a long time, since you had to unzip many layers First game I can remember I didn't buy a beer in the stadium, but those 2 dunkin donuts coffees I bought went right through me anyway...

Im going to say around 60000, the lower bowl was mostly filled by halftime. The upper levels were about 60-40 filled. The Club Seats were probably flled but you wouldnt know it. A lot of people in the upper level seats i think were hanging in the lower concourse

I'd say it peaked around 55,000-60,000. I was impressed by how many stayed for the whole game. Pretty loud bunch, too

looked to me like everyone who bought standing tickets showed up.i bought standing tickets before, and it was completely miserable. the 300's looked pretty empty to me though.

Amen. I risked life and limb each time I went up and down those stairs. Not sure what the 100 and 200 levels were like, but the stairs were not shoveled at all in the 300s and as the game went on, the snow got packed down into the stairs into mounds of ice. Although the pile of snow behind my seat served as a nice cooler for my beers.

Us 'beautiful people' in the 100s had our stairs shoveled out comparitively well. Yah, I noticed the empty 300s and I was glad for my relatively wind free field level seat. I have serious concerns for geezers and fat folk injuring themselves geting to seats in wicked bad game conditions. Also, the last slope to our car in P10 was pure slick ice; that I can't blame Kraft for but in stadium conditions are within a reasonable span of control.

i estimated 60-65% density. a bit more than half of the seats overall were full. there were probably alot of ppl undercover i might guess too. so go with 65-70%

that makes about 65k x .7 == 45k people

thats how i estimate things...i might have some of the numbers wrong tho!

Don't want to guess on the actual attendance, but from my TV* perspective I totally agree that the per-person noise was the best since Week 2. Great job by the fans in attendance!
* PS: before certain season ticket holders insist on insulting those of us who don't "regularly go to Gillette", just want to remind you that I'll be happy to take any available tickets off your hands (even, say, against a 1-13 team! )

normally i sit in the 300s, but managed to upgrade to 131, so im not familiar with the crowd noise at that level. im not sure if it was the seat change or what, but the crowd was quite loud.

Way off base dude. I'm not sure if you know this but the Pats draw fans from all of the New England states.

I drove down from Stoneham and Route 93 was a joke. I don't blame the people who live in Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont from not making the trip.
