OK, I'll say it, I'm petty enough that I wanted to see them go 0-16 and was pretty disappointed to see the Ravens fold as badly as they did. Talk about testicle-free play! How bad do you have to suck to lose to Miami this year???

If I don't have a rooting interest, I generally go with the underdog. And there are some teams that I'd like to see eek out a W to avoid going unvictorious. The Doofins aren't one of them and wanted to see them get a bookend to match their undefeated season.

Am I the only one? I was bummed!

I was super happy for them and their fans.

i was actually happy for the Dolphins, no team deserves to go 0-16, and I think the phins have good players and decent fans, so I was happy for them.
On the other hand seeing the arrogant, classless Ravens lose to a winless team made the day more sweeter .

I was thinking that a lot of people on here would feel like you do and be disappointed they won. I was actually happy for them--do we really feel any animosity towards the players on that team? I don't. I'd have to really dislike a team to root for that.

And, not that there's any chance the Pats would have lost anyway, the fact that Miami has their win means they really have nothing to play for next week.

I'm happy they won. Otherwise, the excuse making Phinophiles would claim our 16-0 was aided by beating a hapless, winless team twice. :)

It's a good thing that they won even though I dislike the Dolphins. They won't be playing at the "Super Bowl" level on Sunday against the Pats. The monkey is off their back.

For all that I root against division rivals, I was happy for the Dolphin players. Imagine slogging through a whole long season, working your butt off and putting your body on the line every week, and ending every single week with a loss. Seeing the pure joy in their celebrations, no way could I feel bad about it.

i'm happy that they win at least 1 game. What is the point of winning 1 game when you lost 15 games.? 1-15 does not look good.

i guess Dolphin can win a 'sportmanship' trophy.

I am happy for the players and fans.

And better last week than this week.

I'm with you, CT. I would have loved to see the Phins go defeated, especially with the clowns from '72 on the sidelines yesterday. To hell with the lphins and their franchise.

14-0 v. 0-14. Them going 0-14 exactly 35 years after going 14-0, both times would have been against a team from Baltimore. There would have been so many wonderful things to go with the Pats at 14-0 and them 0-fer. Alas, 'twas not meant to be.

I would have loved to see them bring their A-games against the Pats this week (not to say that won't happen now), but, IMO, to hope they won a game because you didn't want to see that is silly. I want to see each game from here on out mean something, which includes the Giants having to play hard in week seventeen, only to have whatever dreams they have that weekend crushed by a double digit loss to the 16-0 Patriots. :singing:

Look at me getting ahead of myself. Yes, I am very upset Miami won.

I am more Disappointed in the way our Offense played yesterday. I really don't care about the Dolphins either way.

You're better people than I, I guess! :)

After the Pats game ended, I hung around the bar to watch the end of the Dolphins game. When the Miami receiver broke free for the game winner, the whole bar was saying, "Oh my God! They're going to win! Oh no!" There was disappointment amongst the patrons, for I think almost everyone there wanted to see 0-16, but at the same time there was a lot of congratulatory applause and several, "Congrats, Dolphins. Good job," comments.

Regards,
Chris

I'm not disappointed. I focus on the Patriots. When they lose, I am disappointed. This has been a great year, so far...the stress gets more pronounced with each passing game. The Pats have had the season of many of our lifetimes, let's hope it continues. Five more games, and they are all at home. GO PATRIOTS!!!!

I was extremely disappointed that they won. I was pulling hard for them to go 0-16.
