I think Jacksonville will defeat the AFC Central winner in wild-card game. Let's assume SD finally wins a home playoff game. They've lost the last 2.
That puts SD at Indy. Jax at NE. Garrard has improved since last year. But, I don't think they can put enough points on board to beat us. Hard to believe SD forced 6 turnovers, returned 2 kicks for td's and nearly lost a game. At home nonetheless. Chargers just too stupid to beat a semi-healthy Colts squad. NE vs Indy IV. Thoughts?

Do you happen to know who the 4-5-6 seeds would be if the season ended today? I'm sure I could figure it out with some work, but I'm guessing/hoping you know.

Thanks in advance!

4. Pitt 5. Jags 6. Browns

Not going to be that easy this time. Leftwich is gone. Garrard much better than he was 2 years ago. M. Jones-Drew to spell F.Taylor. They gave us a tough game at Jax last year.
While you don't think the Patriots in 2007 are better than they were in 2005 or 2006? As proven today and against the Ravens, only the elements can slow down the Patriots offensive machine.

What does raise some flags is how much yardage the Jags rang up on Pittsburgh @ Pitt, in crappy weather.
That game was a statistical blowout. 224 yds rushing, 1 penalty, 0 sacks, 0 turnovers, etc.
This year's Jags team is solid. Hopefully we matchup as well as we have in the past. They were running roughshod over that Steeler's defense today though.

I would not be surprised in the least to see San Diego beat the Colts. The Chargers D could give the Colts enough problems, while San Deigo would run on Colts.

If we beat the Jags, we could very well be facing San Diego.

I would be shocked to see the Bolts beat the Colts.
Rivers is, imho, waiting to choke, and Indy's defense, if healthy, is fast enough to contain LT. I don't see Rivers beating the Colts.

SD's 'd' could keep them in the game, like they did a few weeks ago though.

Without Freeney on defense and Harrison on offense, the Colts are more vulnerable than they were at the start of the season.

Pitt vs NE Jan 12th in Foxboro... I think Pitt will beat Jax in 2 weeks..

I'd rather the Pats play the Chargers or Steelers in the divisional round because they could handle them easily. Let Indy deal with Jacksonville. They are the best among the teams will have to play in the wildcard games. San Diego gets helped out in seeding by how lousy the AFC West is this year. The Jags are two wins ahead of them but will be a lower seed.

It wouldn't be a shock. The Colts would obviously be favored but the Chargers match up very well with the Colts and give them all sorts of problems. After an abysmal start, the Chargers are building momentum and seem to be peaking at the right time. They lead the league in takeaways and interceptions. They will be a handful.

This is actually kind of screwed up - the Patriots are most likely going to end up drawing the better team in the divisional round by being the #1 seed. Jacksonville will probably be the lowest seeded winner coming out of the wildcard weekend unless the #6 team pulls off a win on the road. Not that it won't happen, but this seems to be kind of backwards. Oh well, chalk it up to the lack of excellence in the AFC West and AFC North this year.

What do you base that on? There's zero evidence to suggest that. Seriously, SD matches up well enough against the Colts. Not saying SD will beat the Colts if we play them. I'm saying if SD plays the Colts in the playoffs SD has enough team to beat them. I would not be thinking "wow!'

If you were the Colts or Pats, who would you rather play SD or Jax?

I'd think both would want to play the Chargers, not that it'd be a cake walk, but the Chargers got blown out by the Pats and really played horrible against the Colts, although the Colts played more horribleler, obviously.

No disrespect, but I think THIS years version of the Chargers aren't as good as Jax.

Never trust an opposing fan who comes bearing gifts, but thank you! :)

Besides the week long barrage of watching LT cry about classlessness will be priceless.

Hypothetical since the season is not even close to being over:

Could you imagine the hatred and vitriol spewed if Indy and NE met up again by beating Jacksonville and San Diego, respectively?
