Exactly. Now if only NSA, VJC, Frontseven and others could realize this...

LM !! oops we have a running game all of a sudden !

we are disgustingly great ! :rocker:

Wow.. I guess wonders will never cease.

Don't get to thinking Danny has changed his tune. He pulled this same thing earlier, where he started by cheering Maroney for that big 11 yard gain (where the pile just kept moving) and was bashing him again before it was all over.

Maroney did what a lot of backs do when they get fed the ball more than 8 times a game. He found a rhythm and - more to the point - the OL found theirs and he had more room to run.

Maroney fought for yards all day. And I see the time coming where he'll be popping PAST the pile and racking up some long gainers. Almost did so twice today. You go, Lo-Mo! :D

I'm sorry... did my pointing out your recent change of heart after initial praise seem out of place in a thread where you're initially offering praise to a player you've been stupidly attacking for weeks get you upset?

He's not alone . Maroney looked good on the 11 yd gain last week, and poor on almost every other touch. Maroney looked good today, like a first round talent on a championship football team, and is getting credit for his performance by objective fans.

You seem to want to focus on flame wars.....

No, you are a immature crybaby who cant accept the fact I was giving Maroney some credit for acting like a first round draft pick today. He did great. If he ran like that all the time I would not say a word. Nice job starting a flame war. Can you say hypocrite? See the post above of another person saying the same thing.

Just to recap , great job Maroney. You did great today!

I like this sharp elbowing between us fans. :D

Hope no one goes overboard and continue to post 'acceptable' criticism topped with mean retorts that keeps guys like me entertained. :)

I agree. The homers get very testy if you point out anything negative. Anywho maroney did great today!

Oh, please.... You could have posted your comment in one of the several already existing Maroney threads.

So, was this Antowain Smith coming up big in December when a running game is needed? or has Maroney and the O line found a groove, some much needed rythm and confidence in each other, providing another facet to this usually dynamic offense?

I neve lost hope in Maroney but simply thought he could have done more with some of his opportunities. I only listened to the game but it sounded like smashmouth, albeit against a soft as pudding defense.

No us "homers" get testy when people overreact to small things, mis-analyze things and overreact to every single tiny negative thing that happens as if the rest of the league is perfect.

The gloom-and-doom crowd is most annoying because they consistently harp on things like "maroney sucks", "seymour's lost it" blah blah. And then when they are proven wrong it's the same old "I'm glad I was wrong", "Hey good job, give credit where it's due".

It's not as if people who have legitimate worries or concerns about certain things and voice their opinion on it are attacked. There have been many great discussions on this board including worries about certian things with the Patriots. Intelligent analysis, open-minded discussion, fact-filled posts, etc.. The annoying crap is the knee-jerk reaction posts that happen with everything that is not perfect. As well as the stubborness, close-mindedness, and ignorance of the facts on the issues.

I belong to the camp that BB knows what he is doing with Maroney and that it is not all up to Maroney to showcase a monster game when the offensive playcalling has something else in mind.

That said, I am glad that his game today assured us that we do have a solid running game to rely upon and use as a creative weapon in the playoffs but I thought we could have done bit better against the Jets who don't have a great run D. No way is this to be construed as a negative remark because the weather obviously did not make things easy for anyone.

Ok fine.... The original "Maroney is made out of glass" poster is giving Maroney credit for having a great game. Cant any of you people just accept the fact that I am giving the guy credit?

Jeez , people say others "derail" threads.
