100 yds but I didn't see the game.
Why did he do so well? Blocking good/Hitting the hole better. I was hoping he would break along one somewhere in the game. Good to see him to well!
Appreciate any comments.

He ran consistently hard up the middle mostly.

I also enjoyed seeing him hugging BB after the game like they were going to hit the bars later.

He showed a little burst today, instead of just plodding forward as he usually does. Today, he would see a crease, and accelarate through for 5 or 6 yards. This helped him fall forward most of the time as he had some momentum. Still would like to see him break it outside a little more, but good tough running today.

a convincing game for me; he playied well / that's good

would've been a bigger game but his stats slowly started slowing down when we went 1 WR set and they had 8-9 in box

Jets played close to line a lot of the game..disguising but they did shut our passing game down basically

You guys must not have heard...Maroney is awful and will be begging Vince McMahon to restart the XFL just to draw a paycheck next year.

Oh, also Meriweather is a bust, Pioli and Belichick can't draft to save thier lives, and Tom Brady is breaking down before our eyes.

He's not an inside mauler, but he has more than enough power to keep defenses honest and that's all that matters.

Comparing him to high mileage Dillon who is power only is a mistake, because he can run outside like a young Dillon (please watch some young Corey if you get the chance).

His style is more like an Eric ****erson, but that ain't bad at all. Running backs need carries, he'll be fine over time.

Here's who Maroney was today:

Sammy Morris. :D Heck, didn't even break a long run and he hit the century mark. Who says Pats can't run the ball!!!

He did what Morris can do.

What's nice is he can also do what Morris can't!

He showed that if you allow him a steady diet of rushes, he will - as with many backs - get in a rhythm and run consistently. He was the offensive player of the game, in my book.

What impressed me the most was that Belichick did not seem to think it was necessary to always pull Maroney in passing downs. Now granted the majority of the time we passed Faulk was in the backfield, however when Maroney was in they did not necessarily shy away from passing.

I was not able to watch the game, but maybe he IS this good. We have been a HEAVY pass first offense so therefore never really getting a running game rythm. But today it seems like they ran a lot and this gave Lomo a chance to get a good feel for the blocking and such. again i did not watch the game because apparently the whole state of AZ wanted to watch the Cards lose, but this is kinda what i have felt was the problem with our running game. Good game for Lomo!

Even when the Jets didn't really have to respect the deep ball because of the weather, Maroney was able to come through against a stacked Jets defense and run for 4 yards per carry and 100 yards total. He's extremely fresh when that freshness is necessary.

Look at Joe Addai, who's starting to break down with wear.
