After watching the Baltimore and now this game it is clear that our home field advantage could be a bad thing for the playoffs.. All I can hope for is that the weather isn't foul for any of our playoff games. The reality is this team isn't built like our old teams and if we go up against a team with a decent offense strongly supported by the run we will really have our hands full. Watching the Ravens and now this game, it is clear our offense get out of sorts in bad weather. I mean we really only have come up with 3 Offensive points in the 3rd quarter and we are only being helped by the fact that the Jets offense is horrible. Please Playoffs, no wind, rain or snow........Signed Patsfan.

Agreed, this team would sadly be better suited to play in a dome come January.

Ummmm, we are winning. It's no fun for the other team either, so it comes down to talent. We'll be fine. Relax, or go cheer for the Colts or another dome team. Geeeez.

I'm extremely frightened - this team looks more and more like that Colts team of a few years ago. If the weather channel is dialing in a storm for any of our playoff games, I'll be very afraid. Brady looks completely out of it - total stinker so far. I almost feel like I'm watching a loss this game is so ugly.

It has nothing to do with anything you said. i love and support the Pats, but your not too bright if you can't see that our teams best chance for success for another SB is to have favorable weather conditions. I mean when your teams strength is a pass offense, then that is just the way it is. It's not that I don't believe we couldn't dig deep and get it done in those games, but as a fan I feel these conditionslessen the effectiveness of our team, and that is just the way it is!

I mjean Brady is 11 for 21 with 78 yds..........No coincidence hmmm!

our Defensive line is excellence because we completely shut down Jet's offensive.

our offensive is no good today. Only 10 pts in 4 Q.? I know that we have bad weather and everything but we should do better than this.

that is my GRADE

I just don't understand why the passing game doesn't adjust with more screens and quick slants under these conditions. But then, I have bupkis OC experience, so what the bleep do I know? :)

We have a big play pass offense, and today we are too locked onto that. I mean Brady has locked onto Moss and it's as if he doesn't want to look him off. I mean then you have Pennington completing 75% of his passes by dinking and dunking which is what the Pats should be doing!

Other than the current Jets drive, this game gives more confidence that we can win in incliment weather. We may be sputtering on offense, but we are as of right now giving up a goose egg on defense. We are playing grind it out football like we did in the past.

YEs that is against the Jets Offense, That doesn't give me a ton of confidence! It's how would we play in a game like this against a good offense!

it is EXACTLY what i'm talking.

We gave up five first downs going into this drive. We didn't allow them to convert a first down on third down going into this drive. We have stuffed their running game other than a trick play or two.

We would have a different offensive strategy against a good offensive team. This game we just want to run down the clock. The Pats aren't even trying to pass with any consistency. We are trying to run down the clock.

This is the way to go. This team KNOWS how to win in bad weather. BB knows how to do it. Brady knows. Harrison knows. Bruschi knows. These are guys who are used to this kind of thing. They just need to rediscover that magic which made us unstoppable in bad weather.

We just need to go back to those good ol' slants and screens and we'll be just fine.

why the hell are we doing it today.? running down the clock against a 3-10 team.? what a pathetic play.!

You can question McDaniels' and Belichick's strategy of playing so conservatively on offense, but I don't know if that tells me that the Pats can't win in bad weather against a playoff team. Besides, in January, it is more likely to be snow than wind and rain which is a whole different thing than what the Pats are up against weather-wise today.

Just look at the Stat Line on Offense, It tells it all!

Are you a fantasy football fan?

For NFL football fans the only stat lines that matter are point scored for and against (and time left).

That could be. But unfortunately I think there is a gutless faction of this fanbase that has developed more recently as the bandwaggon expanded to Red Sox and disenfranchised NFL fans who love "supporting" a prolific team who dominates opponents. They weren't here for the grind it out years, and have no idea how many picks, missed tackles, penalties went on back in the day. Weird this about them is they are not adverse to saying OMG I'm ascared, yet they get pretty darned indignant and defensive when real football fans suggest they grow a pair. They are like the football equivalent of the Sox pink hats.

I assume that "pink hats" is a reference to the girls' clothing line for all sports teams.

You know, it's funny, on this board I don't see too many actual female posters whining and crying about the team. I see it's mostly men. Yet they are always called some term to suggest that they are behaving like a bunch of women. I have to say, it bugs a bit.
