Red Seats a Disgrace

I do blame Bob Kraft for what the Fidelity Club has done to the Gillette. I garauntee that if he had to do it over again, he would have designed the stadium to be louder to have more of a home field advantage.

*ROFLMAO* Then stop watching. Go root for the Giants or the Jets. Then you can whine and complain all you want.

BTW, I'd rather have Gillette over Foxboro any day of the week and 1000 times on Sunday.

Re: 300 Level Red Seats a Disgrace

You have no point. Other than complaining for the sake of complaining.

DaBruinz, feel free to disagree, but you don't have to be a prick about it.

Wait a second. You think I'm being a prick because I think you are a arse and a hypocrite? You think I'm being a prick because you sit there and b!tch about the best owner this team has ever seen? You think I am being a prick because you complain about the fans who go to the game while sitting on your arse at home and crying that you can't afford to go? WOW. I guess I'd rather be a prick than a whiny little hypocrite who complains about how the guy who saved this franchise spends his money and how he has made the experience for fans who actually attend the games so much better.

As I said, if you need something to b!tch about, go be a Jets or Giants fan. B!tching about the best NFL owner will get you no sympathy from me. And if that makes me a prick. So be it.

I am not going to get into this..........

I will say it was freaking wet, cold and miserable.

I have been to hundreds of games through the years, including every single home game at Gillette

I have to say it doesn't get much worse than today.

Give the people that showed up some credit and go easy on those that could not. Many people come from far away and no way could they make it.

The crowd today was awesome and we were rewarded with Snow-throw II. We got to witness the second team in the history of the NFL to go 14-0. I am sure glad I was fortunate enough to be able to attend.

We all are fortunate to be watching a team knocking on the door of all time best - ever. Enjoy the run......

It's not too late. It's possible to renovate the stadium. Add a few thousand seats in the endzone with the bridge and lighthouse for starters.

Couldn't see the game down here since the Stillers/Jags game was shown.

For what it's worth.... there were plenty of empty yellow seats visible at "The Big Ketchup" too. Their game had big playoff implications too.

Quite frankly, I was surprised to see that many people show up at the game considering the conditions.

I think we should a big CONGRATS to everyone who went rather than condemn those who didn't.

Re: 300 Level Red Seats a Disgrace

It means that its frigging hypocritical of you to be complaining about the Red Seats being "empty" when you are sitting on your arse at home.

Also, since you missed it, the STADIUM, in general, wasn't full. And since you didn't actually LISTEN to the game, you missed Sims and Nantz talking about how long it took everyone to get to the Stadium because of the weather. MANY people chose to stay home and not risk it.

But, go ahead and be a hypocrit and complain about the Red Seats. Shows just the type of intelligence you bring to the table.

Amen....how is that glass house your building Kurt.....I'm sitting here in S. Florida.....not throwing any stones!!!! I applaud those that made it there.....TRUE fans...(although If I were living up there....I WOULD have been suffering right along with you!)

Seriously, only trouble I have with fans at Gillette......is when it sounds like they are at a funeral!!!! GO PATS!!!!!!!

Hey, wine and cheese man, listen here. Every game at Gillette Stadium is sold out. That means the red seats are sold out every game. Well, maybe you haven't watched the Pats on TV lately, but there are red seats that are ALWAYS empty. They are sold out, but the ticket holders don't show up.

Call us hipocryte if you want (and learn to spell, btw), but maybe we don't want to shell out hundreds and hundreds of dollars to the already rich wine and cheese types who don't show up to the games. If y'all want the fans to fill the red seats, stop trying to hawk your season tickets to us blue collar fans at a 500% markup. I'll tell you, I wasn't in one of those red seats, I was sitting at home, and I would have gladly taken your tickets, but not all of us can spent $500 to go to a freakin football game.

You all set the market, go blame yourselves.

I'll agree with others here, today's game was probably the most miserable of all the bad weather games. I was at the "Snow Bowl", the Miami "snow throw" game, the Titans' playoff "frozen beer tap" game, plus countless rain games. The combination of sleet and wind during the tailgate, then rain, freezing mist and wind during the game made it tough to endure. Not to mention the un-cleared steps (try going up and down them in the 300's, I'm surprised no one snapped their neck, we saw many people fall). But we stuck it out, and to be honest even the Red Seats had a pretty good showing. As for crowd noise, it was pretty loud considering how many layers of clothing everyone had on, water soaked gloves don't make alot of noise when you clap them together.

So everyone...just lighten up and enjoy the season!

Not true.
I bet the clubhouse was full.

It is not that a lot of club seat ticket holders don't show up; it has more to do with the fact that they are watching the game from the club inside, particularly on cold days.

DaBruinz, your a prick because you feel the need to turn a difference of a opinion into a personal attack and paint me like I'm Ron Borges. I have no agenda. I offerred an opinion. You happen to disagree. Based on others opinions, I'm willing to admit that my criticisms of the red seats may be a little over the top given the weather.

Its my unwaivering opinion, however, that the red seat crowd detracts from the Gillette home field advantage. I find it embarassing when there is a vast number of red seats empty during the game - and that is the case during most games, regardless of the weather.

They pay a lot for that also. IT has nothing to do with "true fans". I have seen the same old griping every year since the Gilette was built. IT IS 6,000 SEATS! It has nothing to do with anything except jealousy that some have money while others are not as fortunate....I'm not even close to rich but I do not begrudge anyone that made it and enjoys the fruits of thier labor,

Dont worry Kurt. We all see you where just voicing your opinion. Dabruinz is the resident homer that attacks everyone who dares question anything Patriots. He comes of like a total know it all homer in all his posts. Derails threads , hurls insults, and also melts down in 500 word rages most every day.

Do a search of his posts. He is the "homer" "troll" of the board! Dabruinz argues anything and everything. Most of the time he is wrong. Obv a very insecure man I saw that he would not answer most of your rebuttle post's. Typical cherry picker.

I have had season tickets for a long time. My family had them at the old stadium also. There is some truth to what you say. Then again I wonder what dabruinz said when people called Bethel Johnson and Doug Gabrial a bust, haha. I bet they where IDIOTS!!!

I was at the game and stayed for the entire game. I would only say that to me, it didnt matter if the people were sitting in the red, blue or purple seats..
It was cold and I can understand why so many people chose to stay home. If I had to guess, I would say that there were 15-20k no-shows!

It was not a nice day to watch a game. If I had the choice again, I would have stayed home also.

Thanks man. DaBruinz you're a buzz kill.

The odd thing is that this has been explained several times throughout this thread yet people keep ignoring it and repeating that the ticket holders "didn't show up." Maybe people like imagining a group of "bad fans" that makes them look even better as "good fans"?

Complaining about the red seats themselves as a concept -- i.e. seats designed not to be filled -- is perfectly reasonable. Complaining about anybody who risked the drive through that slop to get to the game but then took advantage of the opportunity to watch it under a roof, eh.

I wasn't criticizing those people. I was lucky enough to sit in those seats for one game and I spent some of time in the club. It was fun and quite different from the standing room and regular seats I'd had in the past.

On another note, I was quite surprised at the number of people that actually made it to the game today. It must have been hell driving there.
