There are many more tha a few sane minds. Many will post after they return from the game. But, in general, I agree with your post. Most of the posters here are embarrassing. They deserve to be Atlanta fans. We go 14-0 and they whine! I expect that after the patriots lose a couple of games next year, they will be off rooting for some other team.

Seriously. Sans a few sane minds, I wouldn't want to go to war with any of you. Is this how you all act in your every day lives? At work? When someone misses a deadline at you job, do you call them the worst worker ever? DO you complain to all the other employees that the person that missed the deadline is holding the team back?

In your personal life, if your car gets a flat, do you go on a 10 minute tirade about how bad life is?

I guess what I'm asking is, I really like the pats. Have been a fan since I grew up, but can I be a fan of the team, and hate the majority of the fan base that seems to want wins handed to them on a silver platter?

Look what happens with other teams. They all blindly follow their team. If I had to pick one, it would definitely be to choose that. They all get behind their team and support it for the most part.

And don't give me the "objectivity" routine. No one is paying you to analyze the game, and very few have probably even been involved in professional football. So your "objectivity" is worthless. It doesn't matter.

We currently root for the best franchise in the best sport in the US. So lets all drop the histrionics and support this GOD DAMN TEAM.

100%

bunch of sacks on the bandwagon these days

Dollars to doughnuts, I bet us guys that watched Grogan,Morgan,Eason,1-15 seasons, Ben Dreith, etc, enjoy every single win, no matter huge or small.
I bet fans that are younger, ande ONLY have experienced superbowls etc, are a bit like arrogant numbskull Yankees Fans.

If that isnt true, please allow me to apologize, BUT this is a zero sum game, you WIN or LOSE, a WIN is good, a LOSS is bad.

Therefore, today was great.

We are not the style of team anymore that seems to be a juggernaut in bad weather, things change, BUT Cest la Vie.

I agree. There are times when I only come on here to clean up the religious forum and I then leave again to post elsewhere.

I might add that I believe the Pats to be unparallelled in any sport in the world with which I am familiar (Soccer, Rugby and Cricket, as well as US sports).

To be honest, this website is a complete embarassment today. It's one thing to talk about some bad play, and certainly Brady and the offense were pretty bad.

But my God, this team is 14-0. Some of the fans here are really pathetic.

couldn't agree more...

for fans of other teams, the threads after the game point to a spoiled fan base that prefers to see a stylized win rather than a WIN!

I am ecstatic that my team won today, they beat a hated rival twice this year, secured HF through out the playoffs, and are still perfect....

WHAT ELSE DO PEOPLE WANT??????

There's gonna be different philosophies amongst fans of any fanbase, and the whole point of a message board is to discuss those different philosophies.

I can certainly agree with people who are damning of posters who seem to think that it's not a win unless the number the pats put up on the scoreboard is higher than they can count.

But this remains a message board, as fans we can both be happy the patriots are 14-0 and talk about what could have been better, constructively.

This team could be 15-0 after 14 games and there would still be people here complaining about things.

Enough of the generalizing. The vast majority appreciate what this team is doing. It's just that the whiners are louder and more obnoxious. A lot of them are opposing fans playing the role of a concern troll anyway.

Sorry to say, but if Mangini does not diss Pennington, its more of game towards the end.. But a win is a win, and Im happy to be 14-0

The answer to this is quite simple. There are fans like me that sat through the bad times - season ticket holder since the mid-70's. There are the new fans that are just like me and will be fans regardless of our W_L record. And then there are the fair-weather fans. They always exist. And will continue to exist.

But then you have to factor in the mind-set of today's world. I don't think I need to explain it.

So, we have plenty of true Pats fans -- win or lose. Don't worry about it, it is not worth your time.

You know what I hate?
Idiots like BradyisGod who generalize an entire fanbase based on a few posts he/she reads.

We sound like Philly fans right now. WTF.

I wouldn't say that is true (It is true, but i wouldn't say it!!!).:D

Sorry, actually one more thought.

When tickets are so expensive that only the wealthy can go, this is not a good thing for the sport. It is a factor in the game. Spending between $300 and $600 to go to a football game is off the charts and makes no sense to me.

So someone that just wants to go to a football game with the best team is -- well, usually not a die-hard. I guess it is something we have to accept.

That does not mean that loyal, true fans are not watching at home. They are there.

This is how every fanbase is. Ours is no different.
