Both teams have to play in these conditions. I don't understand why all of a sudden the Jets are more capable of playing in these conditions than we are. Yes we are a big play offense, but we can dink and dunk with the best of them and we have the players to do it. Brady has played in these conditions for years so have most of the players on this team. How long has the Jets QB been playing in these conditions?
I think that our players deserve more credit than some people are giving them.

I agree that people are probably falling prey to the all "great equalizer" cliche, but I do have one concern: Moss and Welker.

Moss has spent his career in Oakland (warm weather) and Minnesota (dome). Welker has spent his in Miami. Our two biggest threats in the passing game are not used to these conditions.

Still, I think we have enough. I suspect faulk and maroney will have a big day catching screens and underneath passes.

Guys (and gals) we're talking about probably the most prolific passing offense to play the game. Will the Pats have a couple of drops due to the weather? Probably, but I think that Brady will find a way to make it work. He always does.

Plus, talent-wise, the Jets can't match up against the Pats.

If anything, this weather is a blessing in disguise. It will give Brady & Co. a chance to get used to playing in this crap for possible match-ups in January. No one will be able to say that "we can't win in inclement weather." If there is anything this team can do, is learn from experiences to better prepare for the next time. I say we still win today, though!

Obviously it helps the Jets. But they still suck. Clemens has one of the worst passer ratings in the league. 4 TD, 9 INT. We'll still win but of course bad weather helps the lesser team.

I remeber Randy having some pretty darn good games in Soldier Field and the frozen tundra (Lambeau). Welker's another story though (Texas and Miami). Nevertheless, they've been practicing in this weather all week. I would trust them to be as prepared as they could be.

I agree with the general sentiment though. It may limit our points some, but it will completely stonewall the Jets. It also probably limits Leon Washington on his returns, which may be the best chance they had to score.

But as has been said in other threads, there's a good chance the field won't even have any snow. The wind is the bigger issue.

It think this weather will make the Jets' crappy offense even crappier. We don't even try to run the ball anymore and we have 134 more rushing yards for the season than the Jets. And we ran 9 time for 22 yards vs. the Steelers last week.

Also, the only area that the Jets have an advantage is the return game and, as they were discussing on WEEI this morning, the weather will neutralize that.

I think the weather will stop the Pats from winning 52-0, but I still think the Pats win pretty easily.

It's going to be hard for the receivers to get seperation on this icy field and the wind and cold might affect a lot of the passes. It's a lot harder to catch the football when it feels like a frozen rock, I know from experience.
