They got through Philly's Super Bowl, then the Ravens SB, now it's the Jets SB followed by the Fins SB and then the playoffs. I think by february The Pats should be well prepared for anything and everything that will be thrown at them by whomever makes it to the Super Bowl.

no, this is different...

the eagles and ravens had teams/personnel and coaches able to fight with the pats, the jets do not...

neither do the fins...

from the two remaining teams were gonna play which will not reach the playoffs, neither the fins nor the jets CAN give us trouble....

our next 3 games are blowouts...

i predict wins by 21+ points

Not even nervous about the Gints???

What about the Giants...!?

The Giants have to use the game to rest their starters (for a significant period of time). The worst thing they can do is go all out, then not be in 100% condition for their playoff game. I expect their important players (including manning) to come out early in the 2nd half. So unless they blow out the Patriots in the first half (highly unlikely); they're not going to win

3rd? Whadda about the Colts game? Oh that right, never mind that wasn't the SB that was the AFCCG.....

I truly believe that the Giants will play their hearts out. I think most any team would. You can't just hand a team a perfect season, you gotta make em earn it. If yer lucky, you may even become part of history and ending the streak. Remember the Pats vs. the Rams in the superbowl? That was heart.

everybody's in superbowl mode when they face the pats since we beat the colts...

Everyone keep bringing up the Giants, Not about this thread but whether or no they will play full tilt which begs the questions, what's the difference they have averaging only 22pt and routinely gives up 300 yd in the air. Unless the hands of time turn back and the REAL L.T. and Harry Carson come walking through the gate it doesn't matter.
I didn't mention them in the original post because by then they will have probably already locked up their playoff spot.

nope, not worried about the giants...the giants will have something else to look forward to, the playoffs, theyll be too busy, even looking ahead...

they will accept defeat b4 they take the field, and they will not play out for the game.....theyll be more in awe the whole game

and after the time runs out, they will experience immense envy ; )

Wow, I suddenly feel really bad for the Giants. Assuming NE enters that game 15-0 and the Giants have the #5 seed locked up they will get killed by the media and fans either way.

If they rest their starters they'll get killed for handing NE an undefeated season. The fact that NE would likely win even if the Giants played 100% to win and 12 other teams failed to beat NE will be ignored. The Giants will have handed NE 16-0 and there will be much hand-wringing (and we'll no doubt hear that the 16-0 is blemished).

If they play 100% to win they'll get killed for not prioritizing winning in the playoffs. They'll be called stupid for chancing injury and not getting their guys rest. Even if they beat NE, when they eventually lose in the playoffs people will point to them burning themselves out against NE (rather than simply not being good enough to win).

It'll be annoying, but I really hope we get to see this play out.

NE can win out but it only takes one game in the playoffs to knock you guys out. As we all know the pats are not infallible just like SD last year. Don't be too confident just yet...
