WADE TAKES SHOT AT EAGLES

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips might have given the Philadelphia Eagles a little extra motivation for their visit to Dallas on Sunday.

While talking to the media about his discussions with his father, former NFL coach Bum Phillips, the first-year coach of the 'Boys said that Bum had given him some advice about the Eagles.

"'Philadelphia really looks good,'" Phillips says that his dad told him. "'You'd better be ready for them.'"

And then one of the reporters says, "They don't look good, right?"

Phillips' response -- "No" -- triggers plenty of laughter.

"But, you know, you gotta get ready for everybody," Phillips added, "and that's the way he's always been."

this is all overrated. would we suggest that the eagles were giving half effort before they heard this and then they will give 100%?

Or maybe they are giving 100% and this will give them 110%. But why stop at 110%? they should give 200%.

I'm getting tired of this politically correct crap. The Eagles have a losing record. They are not a good team. What do you expect Wade Phillips to say? The Eagles are good? Coaches and players just look stupid when they find ways to praise bad teams. Wade Phillips is just telling the truth.

Belichick must look really stupid then. It has nothing to do with "politically correct crap," it is all about showing your opponent respect. The Cowboys will most likely win, but the Eagles will make it very difficult for them.

This is hilarious-just a few minutes after I read this PFT story on this thread, I went back to the web site, and this WASN'T on there(the closest thing they had was Cowboys' NT Jay Ratliffe signing a 5 year extension).

What a load of CROCK! It was nothing but a TEASE to get readers to come to their web site!
