Well, you haven't been able to smoke inside any bars or reasturants for ages here in Cali. There are designated smoking sections in the patio area. If my friend and I both light up, we can clear the area in no time. I guess cig smokers don't like cigar smokers lol!

I gave up Cig's a bit over 10 months ago. But I still enjoy a Cigar 1-2x a week. While still bad for you, at least I can breath in the morning lol. Smokers hangover is the worst thing possible to top off a hangover...

Yes it is. I had pneumonia (sp?) in Jun and quit until about september. I felt great the whole time. Lungs opened back up, etc.
Me and the Mrs. are going to quit together for New Years. Not sure about how she's going to do, but I'm determined. I used to know a guy w/ emphazema and I don't want to end up like that. Scary.

Have her break her leg.... Thats how my wife quit last new years... It wasn't planned or anything lol. She fell while we were at a skating rink and so we spent NYE @ the hospital.

She was told that blood has a hard enough time getting to that portion of the body and smoking inhibits that even more so. So she quit right away... It took me another couple months to quit, but we both went cold turkey... It's one of those, "when you're ready, you're ready!" type situations. My 1 year anniversary is actually 5 days before our first son is due to be born! :rocker: :rocker:

Wow. Well, congratulations! I bet you're excited about your first boy eh?

We're both divorced and I have only a step-son so far, whom I love to death. I get to live vicariously through him most times. I only wish I had stored all that Star Wars stuff I had as a kid. We'll see here pretty soon though, if I'm man enough to put the stem on the ole' apple myself or not.

I've got a bottle of 21 y/o Balvenie that goes well with pretty much any cigar I have at my disposal. I have some "lesser" bottles (read: ones that don't cost 140/bottle) that I drink more regularly. Auchentoshan 10 year, Triple wood; Balvenie Double wood; Glenfiddich 12-18 y/o.

Most of those are 35-60/bottle and are pretty damn good.

It's now Saturday AM, but the thought of God's people's supreme gift to civilization makes me mellow. I like Talisker and some other smokey bottles. That way I don't need to have the yearly cigar along with 'em.

It's not really a "need" to have the cigars. I enjoy the flavor and the aroma of the scotch all by themselves. I just generally drink scotch while having a cigar.
