Conditions like that are possible in Foxborough he just said on PTI. Is this guy for real? Are they playing on Mount Washington?

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

Sunday
Snow...sleet and freezing rain in the morning...then rain...a chance of sleet and freezing rain in the afternoon. Precipitation may be heavy at times. Moderate snow accumulation. Not as cool with highs in the mid 30s. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph.

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

Yeah, he's close, try 3-5 inches of snow changing over to rain, the clambrain..........

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

The forecast has been downgraded a bit. I live 15 minutes from Gillette and happened to be at the Proshop today doing some holiday shopping. According to the 'expert' there, he said, the weather is looking up as the temps keep getting warmer.

What makes a noreaster a noreaster is the wind, not the snow. But like all NE weather, you never know until it is upon you.

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

There have been a few predictions of really high winds on Sunday - 40 to 50 mph gusts common. Hadn't heard anything about big accumulations

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

I just watched Ch 7 news and they said 2"-4" of snow then turning to all rain. I would be more worried about the wind at this point

Yes, I remember those, being from NH, also why I mentioned Mt. Washington. Wilbon seems to be leaning on sensationalism more and more. 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds would kill a whole bunch of people.

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

Since when is Wilbon a Boston/Providence weather expert?

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

Plus the wind would ruin the ballbags sharp looking comb over...........

Just checked out the Weather Channel and it has snow till 11 AM with 2"-4" accumulations and then turning to rain all afternoon...

Wind during game time is now downgraded to 10-15 mph.

I just don't get all these conflicting reports. But I guess that's the weather for you.

Seriously, if you watch ESPN, it's like they think the storm is likely to be worse than the one in The Day After Tomorrow movie. We'll be expecting Dennis Quaid to ice pick his way through Gillette stadium.

I just don't know what to believe anymore.

These are the same folks who can forecast accurately global warming temperatures for the next century. :D

I thought their secret weapon was illegally filming their opponents without permission.

Re: Wilbon said possible 2 - 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds

consider the source ... or should I say sauce:)
.... this guy is nothing but a sensationalist. IMO.

Last time I looked, Wilbon wasn't a weather man. I don't think his statement is worth starting a whole thread about.

this is new england...anyone predicting weather so early doesnt know much about the area.
