surprising bonds is on there

Haha, all the Yankees fans are going nuts on ESPN saying Mitchell is biased as a Red Sox director and that the report is crap.

Um... the guy was a former US Senator.

It's not his fault that the guy who "sang" is based in NY and therefore supplied a lot of NY guys.

Nor should anyone assume that the guys on this list are the only guys who used steroids.

Some of the slightly surprising names for me (not that anyone in MLB using steroids really surprises me):

David Justice
Chuck Knoblauch
Kevin Brown

Even for these guys its not a shock - Knoblauch and Brown were often injured weren't they? All the other guys needed an edge or like Mo, wanted to get bigger quicker.

Your right, as one of the guys expressed on PTI. Both Chicago teams didn't have names, not likely they were clean, just didn't have an informer.

If you know much about David Justice, his being on this list shouldn't have been a surprise. The guy's displayed classic examples of roid rage in the past.

knowing what we now know about clemens .if for some reason he does get into the hall of fame .i hope he goes in as a yankee .they can have that stiff.

It's gratifying to see not real long time Red Sox members on the list. Mo Vaughn left years ago and it looks like he started with the illegal stuff after he left. Same with Clemens. Canseco, well, it looks like he started when he was in Oakland, if not some other time before he was with the Sox. Gagne started BEFORE joining the Sox, and it wouldn't bum me to see him traded. Is it true about Varitek?? Confirmed or just rumor??

And, yes, Clemens should retire as a Yankee. Sorry to see him go, but that's what he wanted.

Overall, I'm proud of the Sox. For such a group of "mis-fits" they have class!! Makes me love 'em even more. :D

The reason why there are not more current Red Sox on the list has more to do with having an informer in the Sox clubhouse rather then the Sox being clean.

Oh, he was a senator? That means he must be honest then. Politicians are the most corrupt goons in the country.

Exactly. Manny Alexander has juice in his glove box and Paxton Crawford has syringes falling out of his towel in the clubhouse, and some people think the Sox players didn't juice. I'm of the opinion that at least half the league was shooting something.

Corrupt, and only looking out for themselves. It would make his investigation look a whole lot better if someone like Ortiz or Vartiek could be linked to steroids. I'm sure his desire to make his investigation dig up as many names as possible dwarfs his desire to make the Sox look like steroid virgins.

The reason that no major Red Sox are on the list is because he couldn't find anyone to rat them out. Not because they aren't juicing, and not because he's trying to make them look better. I fully agree that half the league has shot up something at one point of the other.

Clemons is beside himself that he is on the report. Roger, if your innocent, then why did you not talk to Sen. Mitchell when they gave you an opportunity to talk. They told you your name would be included on the list. Maybe its just me (and anyone with an ounce of logic), but if someone calls me to tell me I'm guilty of something, when in fact I am innocent, and I am given an opportunity to make a statement, or take some type of legal action; "Word". Roger, go ahead and make a stink about it, but unless your taking legal action, we'll call you Barry, or maybe Raphael the Finger.

The reason that their are no sox on the list is because either they couldn't find someone to rat them out, or there just aren't big name sox taking juice.
