Well, the fan portion of the Pro Bowl voting is done, with the coaches and players portion to be completed today.

Per the fan voting, the Patriots have:

1. The AFC's #1 QB Tom Brady
2. The AFC's #1 WR Randy Moss
3. The AFC's #1 ST Larry Izzo
4. The AFC's #1 OT Matt Light
5. The AFC's #1 P Chris Hanson
6. The AFC's #1 ILB Tedi Bruschi

So far, so good. What other Patriot would you include?

You have to consider Mankin, Welker, Samuel, and Wilfolk. Any others?

Hanson.......Hanson?

Bruschi & Hanson? That's ridiculous! I think Welker definitely belongs there.

It's too bad that the league decided to exclude Junior Seau from the fan ballot. He deserves to be listed right next to Bruschi. Does anyone know why they excluded Junior?

"AD" Thomas was starting inside earlier this year, that's why.

No reason for Izzo there.

Vrabel should be there, so should Asante and Wilfork.

Hanson?????

I'd take the punter from Whitman-Hanson over Hanson!!!!

Go Panthers!!!

Just like every other year some players get in on name recognition more than this year's performance. The are a few players that have not had pro bowl years on that list (IMO). Brushci, Light, Hanson are solid but not the best at their respective positions. Not that I mind, most years players from other teams get in due to fan voting and not our guys so what goes around finally comes around in my mind.

In the flip side
Wilfork should be a pro bowler
Mankins should be a pro bowler

i am curious to see this year how many totally Pats players will be @ Pro Bowl

Hanson does not belong there.

He is the worst punter in the NFL in terms of avg punt.

And the second worst in term of avg net. (only Colts punter Hunter Smith is worse in that regard)

Avg. is not a really exact stat in terms of punts. Say you are punting from the opponent's 43 and the punter puts the ball inside the 10. That's a 33 yard punt, but a great one nonetheless.

Hanson hasn't had many punts in which he only had to boom it as far as he could. It's all situational. Not to say he is a great punter or that he deserves a Pro Bowl spot. He's the definition of mediocre. He shouldn't be viewed as one of the top three worst punters of the league as some here say, though.

Which begs the question, why is he our punter, and not somebody better?

Since they also want Hanson maybe they should vote for Maroney. I think he has done great this year;)

I think our Chris Hanson is getting confused with Lions' kicker Jason Hanson, who is tied with Gostkowski at 7th in the league in kicking and tied with Elam at 7th in the league in field goals and is generally having a very good year.

Vrabel. And drop the last 4 from that list, they don't deserve it.

I don't know that Samuel has had a pro bowl season. I like your other choices. I'd vote Rodney in. Definitely looking Pro bowl lately.

I think that Wilfork,Welker and Vrabel all should go to the Pro Bowl they have had great seasons.
