Board viewerships

I'm amazed how many viewers this board averages. I can't remember it under 500 viewers, regardless of what time I log on. Maybe I've not been checking out the right boards for other teams, but i have never seen other boards come close even a game days. Great job everyone!

It js pretty amazing how the traffic has ticked up this year to huge volumes. Even when I'm looking during our morning when it's 4 or 5 am on the east coast, it's not unusual for there to be 200-300 people looking in.

It's quickly become my main 'clearinghouse' for both team info and mindless babble , so I visit religiously.

In terms of football knowledge, I think this board is most informed board out there for Pats fans. Also, MODs here really do work hard to keep this board clear of trolls and flaming which some other boards fail to do on regular basis.

I'm not sure what the 'viewers' metric means. Is it that someone has refreshed a page in the last 10 minutes ? Or is the page open in a tab on an unattended computer ? Some of the ads refresh automatically, so this my cause an inflated count of whos actually actively using the site.

Ive been on this board at 4am EST and seen 400 'viewing' ..... so I'm probably leaning towards the latter definition.

Undertaker has said in the past that patsfans has pretty liberal settings when it reports active users, at least compared to his board.

I of course do not know the extent of his and Ian's knowledge of each other's boards.
