Obviously they are being interviewed here without knowing about the NFL's statement today. But the backpedaling and hypocrisy makes me sick regardless:

Question: Now that we know the Jets were caught videotaping the Patriots last season, does it change the way you view the Patriots cheating scandal? Sean?

Salisbury: I didn't view it any different other than they were better than everybody else anyway. But if people are going to say, well they're even now, if they [point to] the fact that the Jets got caught, well, they're only even if you fine them a half a million bucks and take away a draft pick. Bottom line is they may need to tape the Patriots to stay close in the game. You know what John, this is going to go away, and it's going to come back, and go away, and come back.... I don't believe it had any effect and it doesn't change my feeling -- the Patriots are the best team in football with the best coach period with or without a videotape.

Clayton: Yeah, I agree. It doesn't change anything whatsoever. Let's put it this way -- we know Spygate's not going to go away because we're not going to let it go away. It's good drama, you try to get a little bit of intrigue, but let's put it this way -- it didn't affect anything that happened to the Patriots. It happened in the first half of the game, the information did not get back to anybody on the Patriots, and all they've done since is just blow everybody away. I mean they're going for the undefeated season, they'reprobably going to end up blowing out the Jets, I mean it's going to be at least now wait for the playoffs and see how the Patriots do. Right now, everything's great for Bill Belichick despite the fact that his salary is about $500k lighter.

Salisbury: John, I have a hunch that he'll make that up in bonuses and the Patriots will be just fine this weekend.

FYI I wrote to the guy at Newsweek and sent him the link to the photos of the Jets employee filming on the sidelines. He wrote back after seeing them. This could get good.

Pain

Why are you so upset again?

What did he write back?

What did he write back?

"Strange" I then sent him a copy of the email I had from the press stating that he was a Jets employee that was known to them.

I don't think upset is the right word...shocked is more like it.

Clayton has thrown the Pats and BB under the bus every chance he can this year....Salisbury has not been down on the Pats as much as some others at ESPN.

What's your gripe? Salisbury has always been pro-patriots and clayton was actually pro-pats on this statement you just posted. What's the problem?

Salisbury is awesome. Can you post the link to the photos of the Rats* camera guy on the sidelines?

Now all we need is an asterisk by the Jets' 3-10 record in the Globe ("*caught cheating")

The problem I have isn't so much with Salisbury as it is with Clayton. He hasn't had anything good to say about the Patriots this year, and basically has taken every opportunity to disparage them and revisit Spygate.... Now he changes direction and acts like Spygate was never a big deal. Eff him.

GREAT PICS....real nice job
