Since Petrino quit Atlanter in disgrace, shouldn't Cam Cameron show some sack and resign as HC of the winless, disgracefull Phins? Especially after wasting a Top 10 pick on The Ginn Family and a high #2 on Glenn Beck who was pulled for Cleo Lemon fer gosh sakes after attempting to impersonate an NFL QB against the Bills juggernaught last Sunday.

What does this mean, "quit in disgrace"??? How is that determined? Did you just decide that? Did he get caught cheating? Stealing? Lying? What is disgraceful about him that lead him to resign?

His record as a HC
Pretty rough year with the vick thing, which was completely out of his control. Not sure, but I would assume D'Angelo and Company probably had a little something to do with it. Doesn't help when your players are more concerned about "freeing Vick" than winning a FB game.

It is discraceful to sign a 5 year contract and then break it in the first year. Last year Nick Saban did the same thing.

That fact that you used "no name center" says a lot about your knowledge of the Dolphins. You have no place to ever discuss them again if that's your approach because clearly you have never watched them play outside of the game vs. the Pats.

As for the HC position, I'm hearing a lot of rumors about Schottenheimer coming to Miami with Cam back to the OC position.

Well, at least where I live, they have not been televising the phin's games. Satele is good, but even if you have a good center, it won't help if your QB of the future is terrible. Beck may develop, but on his current path he isn't looking to be a superstar.

And I hear rumors to. Earlier in the season I heard the pats were going to lose BB, and that without videotaping the pats were an average team.

At first I felt that Petrino was simply getting out of a bad situation. After getting some facts and developing a better understanding of the circumstances, I've come to know Bobby Petrino for what he is, a quitter.

This is the most cowardly act imaginable. To commit to a team and an owner for 5 years and not even complete the first year is unacceptable. Tough times define character, and even though the Falcons had to suffer through the Vick situation, a person of strong character and a solid role model would have rolled up his sleeves and looked at how he could have lead the team and organization out of that mess. Unfortunately, Petrino had none of those qualities and showed his style of leadership by bailing.

What this has to do with Cameron is beyond my comprehension. If Cameron needs more time to develop his program, then he moves forward to do so. At this point, the best thing Cameron can do if he wants to be a successful coach is to take a critical review of team needs, develop a plan of corrective action, and move forward to execute the improvement. To do anything less is to admit he's not suited for the job, and I don't believe he feels that way.

Riotous!
WaterBoy has just seen the Phins fatal flaw and it flew right over his head.
Each year the inept organization has THE ANSWER!
Each year the Phins fans who totally lack critical thinking skills adopt Ricky Williams, Saban, Culpepper, Trent Green Beck (ROTFL!) or whatever as the answer to their dreams and blather about it all over the internet.
And then each year (or sometimes 2 or 3 years; not every answer is as BAD as idiotic Cam or deer-in-the-headlights Beck) the answer fails and they, guess what, come up with yet another brilliant answer that is doomed to failure.
Repeat.

The fish rots from the head.

I didn't really know what the situation was regarding Petrino. Then I heard what went on when the "experts" spoke on our show over here during the Texans game. Basically ripping Petrino to pieces, he never had the locker room, pinned a little note on the wall for his goodbye and saying you know it's bad when one of the most respect players there is, Dunn calls him out. Cameron looks like he has a bit more balls about him in sticking with it, but Miami, to quote a friend across the pond, really f*ckin suck. Something needs to change there. If he can't take the team further then he needs to go.

Not sure about the coaching staff though, the NFL really needs to look at removing the Dolphins before they stink the NFL out even more.

Perhaps the Phins could be moved to LA. Of course, they'd still suck. I know that the NFL would love a franchise in LA but the downside is indifference sorta like all the empty seats at a Phins game.

The people in LA (who aren't even from LA) would petition against it. Jack Nicholson would be the only one sat in the Staples Center if the Lakers didn't have Kobe Byrant or some form of success. The Los Angeles Dolphins might get David Beckham turn up just to get his face noticed for a movie or something. Or the people of Hollywood may flock to see superstar QB Cleo Lemon.

Stuck in the Nevada desert may offer an excuse for empty seats. Logistical problem or something...
