This poll isn't specific enough. Are we assuming that NE actually gives him the ball 18-20 times in each game?

If the Patriots give Maroney the ball 18-20 times in those games, then I think he goes over 100 in both. If they only give him the ball 10-13 times than I doubt it. I think he'll have a good YPC in both games, though.

When is the kid going to break a long run? The kid's long run is 19 all season. It's just pathetic. Sad really.

I love it.

Going forward I am putting anyone who starts an idiotic Maroney thread or poll on my ignore list.

Yea, I've got about 3 of these trolls on my ignore list, and frankly I think they're all the same poster anyways.

Ahhh, yes. The classic "Let me put a finger in each ear" approach. Good to see some of us are still living like they are 10 years old.

He will NOT get 100 yards COMBINED in the next 2 games. Book it.

Since your so sure how about if your wrong then you stop posting on this site? Deal? You know since your so sure and your always right. You willing to put something behind your empty words?

No, but I will stop posting for 1 week. You do the same. Deal?

I said No....because once again he will not NEED to..........

If I make this the 4th merger of a Maroney thread will the poll still show. Should we start another poll to see if this should be merged?

Just answer the question.

Danny....how can you ask someone to answer the question....when you at the point of stating this....had NOT answered it!!! ??????????

Well update of the current count we have 14 Yes and 26 No. That means that 65% of Patriot Nation that participated in the poll don't believe that Maroney can crack the 100 yard mark against the NY Jets and Miami Dolphins. Wow, anyway you slice it, that's a pretty significant percentage of the pie.

Not good not good SHows how confident pats nation is in SloMo

This poll is so stupid it's unbelievable. The Maroney haters know it's unlikely we will run the ball enough to get ANY RB 100 yards, and they use this (which may or may NOT have to do with Maroney's abilities and the coaches' confidence in hIm), to somehow "prove" that Maroney is a terrible RB.

Actually the poll is very straightforward. Will Maroney gain 100 yards vs the Jets (#30 ranked run D) and the Dolphins (#32 ranked run D)? Considering that these teams are two of the WORST run D teams in ALL of the NFL, both AFC and NFC conferences, it would actually make a LOT of sense to give them a heavy dose of the run game.

This poll is actually not meant to prove anything. The Poll is a measuring device to see how people perceive Maroney's chances of achieving the above goal. So far the NUMBERS indicate that 65% of the voters don't believe that Maroney can get the job done against these cellar dweller teams that happen to have horrific run defenses.

To reverse this trend, Maroney merely has to perform well against the WORST run defenses the league has to offer. That's a pretty easy way to redeem the fans' confidence in him.

Shows how confident Pats nation is in the passing game.
The damn question is WILL not CAN. All signs point to a philosophy that likes to spread the field and pass. Why fight for 4 yards running in the trenches when you don't HAVE TO ?

You guys are getting really annoying. This isn't even a debate between those who do like Maroney and those who don't. It's a debate between simple-minded, agenda-driven, nit-picky, always-complaining ignoramus' like you and the rest of us.

The team seems bent on passing and not running, because they can do it. So based on that i say no

Just to prove how you are bending words and being a liar...
Poll says "will" you decide to say it means "can".

Averaging 5-6 YPC against a terrible run defense is in NO WAY BETTER THAN AVERAGING 8-12 YPA throwing the ball. Its so simple it's astounding. You act as if the jets and dolphins have amazing Pass defenses and horrible run defenses.

The pats average 8+ YPA throwing the ball this year, what RB is going to average 8 YPC?

This poll is actually not meant to prove anything except how people perceive Maroney's chances of achieving the above goal. There we go again, with the "can" crap. And fix that to say "restore MY confidence in him" because not everyone has no confidence in him.
