Will Troy Brown get a reception this year?

Possibly late in the Jets/Phins games.

Hell maybe even the Giants if we blow them out.

Then again he'd have to actually be activated for a game, unlike the previous two weeks.

I'd really like him to, even just one. Just so he could say he was on the team and made a reception during the perfect season.

he would make for a good recipient of an 'eff you' TD this upcoming week; could we sneak Washington to the inactive list for a week to make room for Troy?

I think they'll activate him and give him some snaps during the regular season, just to shake some of the rust off.

So yes, I think he'll get a reception.

If they'll let Testaverte throw a TD and Flutie do a drop kick, Troy will get a catch and hopefully a TD.

Man, if Troy gets a TD this year I'll be going crazy.

Belichick has too much respect for Troy Brown and I think Troy means too much to this team for him to not get activated at some point in the next two weeks so he can catch a couple of passes in front of the home crowd.

Troy needs to get a TD so he's a part of Tom's record.

I think they will throw to him coming up. If he catches a touchdown I might lose my voice.

I agree, BB loves Troy and he will be a part of this run somewhere, somehow.. there will be a lot of love shown to him at either the Miami game or Jets game.. he will go out in glory as he should.

I say he is active for the Giants game, and leads the team in receptions for that game..

I would personally love to see him as the emergency QB in the Giants game throwing a TD to Welker.. like a passing of the torch.

Or even throwing a pass to Bruschi (has he ever caught a TD?)

If the weather report holds up and we get storm conditions, you will see Troy Brown, because we'll want all our best short yardage receivers out there. Again, the caveat - we don't actually know Troy's physical condition. How fully recovered is he really? We can't take anything said at face value. If he is in game shape, though, and the weather is as bad as they say it might be, this would be an opportune time to bring him into a game. That way if the Jets key on Welker, death by Troy Brown.

Will Troy Brown get a reception this year?

Earlier in the year I wanted to start a pool, who would get the most receptions in 2007. The candidates were Dave Thomas, Chad Jackson and Mike Vrabel, now you can add Troy Brown into the mix.

Scoreboard
  • So far Vrabel is in the lead with 2.
  • Logan Mankins and Dave Thomas are tied at 1.
  • CJ and #80 have 0

Yes there almost no way he doesnt get a catch.

They will do it for him and the catch will likely be a TD.

and in doing so would add to what could be a Patriots record.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if Troy scores he will be the 22nd Patriot to do so.

Yup... Bruschi caught a couple (they were just thrown by the opposing QB!!:rocker: )

I really want to see Troy haul in a TD this season... Maybe Brady's 50th.

I agree. Troy Brown, if healthy, will be active one of these weeks - Miami, I suspect - and will catch at least one pass.

and then they'll let Junior Seau catch a TD pass out of the goal line package. He only scored once in his NFL career, back in 1995.......

If Flutie gets a drop-kick point after...
