OT: Mr. Class Is at it Again

Somebody give that lil baby his baba. When my children had that look on their face I burped them or changed their diapers. That was pitiful. The only thing I can think of is he is trying to get traded to the Ravens.

Well, one thing's for sure, the Titans are dirty.

I remember the normally composed Pats almost starting an all out brawl our last game with them. It started with Rodney but continued throughout the game. I haven't seen the Pats get that emotionally unglued in a long time. They were pissed.
Yea, they're not right. They're absolute cheap shot artists. It really kicked into high gear when VY RAN into Merriman. He wasn't looking to hurt Young. If he was Young would have been far more hurt than he is. After that they just proceeded to hit multiple players late and sometimes off play.

It's on tape. When VY went down Fisher basically said we'll get him back. Whatever. What goes around comes around. I'm just saying the titties suck and they are definitely a dirty team. They're definitely on my sh*t list.

The above said it's sorta like LT said in his presser. It's the NFL. Back in the day it was far worse. All a team can do is win the game. They claimed the Bolts were talkin smack during the game. Perhaps they were. Talking smack and hitting guys after the whistle 15-20 yards away from the ball is another.

I'm glad SD won in the way it did.

Thank God we have such an upstanding player like LT represnting the NFL. He would NEVER thow his team under the bus to take blame off himself.

I will refrain from pointing out that whereas my avatar is a picture of Tom Brady holding a Super Bowl trophy, yours is a gayish picture of him holding a baby goat... and I will refrain from asking what that says about me, and what that says about you... :D

OK, all the above was just in jest - I completely respect your opinion about LT. However, the issue under discussion is not his dedication to winning, nor is it his worthiness as a teammate, it is his supposed "class". I think the guy is a dolt for calling himself classy in the first place (particularly while pointing fingers at those in another organization in the same paragraph). I just find it deliciously ironic to see him repeatedly demonstrate his actual lack of class.

To emphasize this last point, we have all torched Peyton Manning for throwing his teammates under the bus, but at least he doesn't explain to us how classy he is while he is doing it. I have a lot more respect for Manning both as a player and a human being than I do for LT[/.

Yeah, Peyton and LT are some pretty horrible guys. Get a grip. Attach a link that demonstrates LT has thrown a fellow player under the bus or has done something classless. And even if he did (which he hasn't), that would lower your respect for him as a HUMAN BEING? Wow, talk about having the jealousy bug.

Ok. that was funny. Sorta. But not really. Did he throw anybody under the bus?

Did you miss the LT Rivers hug?
In your vid, yes. :D During the SNF vid clip, no.

It's like this. Rivers has sucked at times this year, no doubt. But LT does have his back. Period.

Yeah that was because a Titan put his helmet right on Rodney's knee to block him. It wasn't dirty by the book, but you're going to hurt people that way, and when you could just as easily have squared up to him someone will be upset.

It could be argued that the pats lost to the colts because Harrison was out. Many have said the defense isn't the same without him, not that it mattered in the regular season.

Watch the video. That's LT PUBLICALY calling out his QB. How about CRYING and WHINING at the post-game press conference?

There is your proof. On video. LT is classless. Case closed.

Whuuh? Put up a link or shut up. In the link you put up, he said....and I quote "Im so disappointed, I dont know what else to say. I'm sorry." Where was the calling out part? And where was the crying and whining? By your reasoning, I can say the Patriots are lifelong cheaters. Case closed. Why do you guys hate on LT so much? Because he's the best back in the league? Because he's a truly good person? or because he cares about winning? Which is it?

Wait a second. What vid? The one you posted? Specifically what was classless and who did he call out?

Anyone who watches the video of LT getting up and walking away from Rivers in disgust just as he sits down next to him, knows that LT does not have his back. Basically, telling him without saying a word that Rivers sucks (which he does), and that he was pissed at him. Maybe he could give him some support or advice instead of just walking away. His true character shows up all the time under pressure...no class and don't support your teammates. For someone who holds himself in such high moral regard, his actions speak louder than his words.

Well, both LT and Rivers were together at a press conference (at the podium at the same time, mind you) and both said it was nothing. It may have looked bad, but was simply timing. LT got up to talk to his OL and other players on the OL verified that he did. Yeah, LT wears his emotions on his sleeve sometimes and hates to lose....so? Sounds like alot of NFL players I know, how about you? He doesnt support his teammates? Come on.

I refuse to recognize the acronym LT for Tomlinson

LT is and will always be reserved for Lawrence Taylor

Tomlinson CAN be LDT or "classy"......but he CAN'T

be LT.

The football gods have spoken.:rocker:

So you thought they'd come out on the podium and LDT would say, "yeah Rivers sucked and I was simply pouting and leaving my QB hanging. That's how I show leadership by actions not words. You guys were lucky to get it on tape...imagine all the other things I do when the cameras aren't on. And remember I'm still classy."

I wouldnt expect them to make an appearance together at all. But then again, in the land of the Patriots, every miniscual movement and word is monumental bulletin material.

I've been looking for a Youtube clip of that with no success so far.

Ironically, did anyone catch the 60 Minutes segment on him after the game about how he is such a uniquely classy superstar in this day and age?

"60 Minutes", an authority on "classy"??? Surely, they jest.

Hmm, let me get this straight. You think that was a bad leadership tactic by LT and you know best? As if. It's not about how the pats do it. It's not about how any other team ever does it. It's always about what works for a given team dynamic.

I know the pats are good. I know the pats have their way of doing things. Every team strives to find their way. When a team does find it's way, that's when it "officially" becomes that teams way. It's always different for every team.

Just because the pats have 3 rings and have their way does not mean it's the only way. Just stop it.

Are you such a big homer, that you are blinded to the fact that LDT embarassed his QB and when they caught it on tape, he could be doing damage control by becoming out together? It actually supports the argument that LDT likes to portray himself as classy. He can be classy when they win, but in tough situations, he is not the person you want to have your back. Can you seriously tell me that if you're Rivers and having a horrible game, and LDT pulls that walking away in disgust crap on you, you aren't pissed and feeling a lack of support from your team's primadona superstar?

So your argument comes down to...

If any player is having a bad game, simply walk away from him in disgust and not give him any advice or support. Do it for the world to see so they know who to blame for the team's poor play as if it wasn't apparent enough. Your team does that, and its your way. Guess you have a right to do it your way...I'll take the Pats way.
