Whats will all the talk about the 2008 draft on this forum -Its only Freakin' week 14

Why do we continuously get more and more threads and posts about what draft pick we are going to take or trade and what player is best for this team.

Just to inform those who are not aware of this...

It f-cking week 14 in the 2007 NFL season and not even close to the offseason when this talk should be done.


Does anyone have anything interesting to talk about pertaining to the 2007 season which is not even f-cking done with yet?

The pre-2008 Season's offseason is more than 2 months away,How about talking about something THIS SEASON eh? - You will have more than 2 months of draft talk AFTER the SB is over with.

The team is 13-0 looking to a possible sweep of all 19 games,and we are finding nothing better than talking about draft picks already?,Who cares right now?? :bricks:

Maybe some people are sick of talking about how we are 13 - 0 and about how awesome we are 24 hours per day. We all know how good we are. We all know we are 13 -0.

We have the number two pick in the 08 draft. Right , thats nothing to talk about. The pats can pick pretty much ANYONE they want in all of college football next year.

Forget that , did you see how awesome we are? Even more awesome then last time we looked awesome. That's AWESOME!

Whoa. Somebody got up on the wrong side of the whatever this morning. I think it's of legitimate interest for the fans of a team that might go 16--0 to wonder (and be amazed) collectively about what they might do with the number two or three pick in the draft, usually reserved for teams that go closer to 0--16. I'll now duck to avoid whatever it is that might be thrown at me for suggesting this.

'when this talk should be done' - are you for real? so you decide who will talk about what and when? get a clue. earth to you - anybody will talk about anything, anytime they want, regarless of your preferences. Did your mind ever conceive of tghe idea of simply sifting through and reading the posts your interested in? yeah, that might be a good idea. wow.

This will most likely be the highest pick since Bledsoe was drafted, of course people are going to talk about it especially with the end of the college football season.

you are right, lets just talk about how maroney is unreliable, every media outlet talks S*** on us, and how Stallworth is a reliable #4 reciever.

I don't follow college football too much. I hear Michigan has a great LT prospect by the name of Long or something. Does anyone have good info about this guy if you have followed him much? Is he going to be the best O-linemen in next year's draft? How does he compare to other previous prospects say Joe Thomas for example? Size, strenth, arms? I know it's early but was just interested.

Well when you have an extremely active message board community running 24hours 7 days a week anything and everything will be discussed.

No reason for people to limit what they discuss as if they’re a member of the team. It’s not as if people making draft topics are not enjoying this year. They’re merely looking for something to discuss during the 7 day wait until the next game.

With a message board they can talk about this season, next season, last season, BB’s favorite color, etc.

Dude, what the hell do you care what other people on this board are discussing? It's really pretty simple! If you are not interested, don't read the threads pertaining to the 2008 draft.
The reality here for alot of folks on this board is that we are big fans and interested in all facets of the team. That incluides its past, present and FUTURE.
Having a top 5 pick is really significant and its a real pleasure to speculate on what our top flight managment team will do to maximize this windfall.

As I so eloquently said before, I now will say again. As a long time fan and not a bandwagoner I care about this teams future as well as its present. I did not start rooting for the Pats this year nor do I plan on stopping anytime soon. Honestly until recently I thought Mcfadden was a pipe dream, but now I'm kinda hopeful. We look to be in good cap shape next year and the Jets covet him. I hear Mcfadden is a strong runner and a good reciever and even a passing threat. I would love if the Pats added that dynamic. With Mcfadden(sharing snaps with Maroney) plus Moss,Welker, Gaffney and Chad Jackson, we just might rewrite those newly inked offensive records.

Man - what a jerk you are. It is fun thinking about a top 5 pick. People talk 2007 Pats 24/7 and there is only so much you can compliment the team and speculate about records and perfect seasons. It is fun to sometimes think ahead and try to guess or predict what our future strategy will be or what we think it should be in draft and free agency. It is exciting to have a chance to pick highest since Bledsoe pick and it is ok to talk about it before the end of season (do you think the Pats are scouting yet?)......

Hey PFPA ... if you're not getting a woody over a possible #2 pick
then you need to take some "Draftagra" or "Draftialis" ... or ... "Draftvitra"
