Have you ever seen more fans of an opposing team at a Patriots game?? There were Steelers fans everywhere.

Agreed - I realize Steelers travel with their team more than everybody. Who are these "fans" that continue to get away with selling their tickets??

If they do sell them - at least sell them to the home team's fans for crissake.

Yeah I knew several Steeler fan friends who drove up from Pittsburgh to go to the game.

I didn't realize the Steelers had so many fans like this, it's pretty impressive actually.

I actually thought there were a lot of Eagles fans two weeks ago. It was comparable, maybe slightly more yesterday. Eagles fans were just way more obnoxious.

I agree. By far the most opposing fans I have ever seen. I have had season tics since the early 90's.

That said the pitt fans where very cool. The one's I met where nice people.

Pennsylvania is a crazy football state I guess.

Yeah, because the Pirates, Phillies (except for making the playoffs this year), Penguins, Fliers and 76'ers all stink.

They were sprinkled around though, not in clumps or groups. They didn't really make any noise. Pats fans at games in Miami and Buffalo, on the other hand, are a force to be reckoned with.

Agree with all of the other comments. You could see there were a good amount based on the towels, but all spread out. Each one I met was actually nice too. Can't judge fan bases based on message boards haha.

The Steelers and Eagles are to their town's as Boston's baseball team is to it.

Years of tradition-successes........or in the Eagles case......failure.

The Patriots......due to years of pathetic mismanagement, short-sightedness, a lack of identity and miserable performance experienced stunted growth as a franchise.

I give Billy Sullivan all the credit in the world for bringing an NFL franchise to our area.......after that.....he was a complete failure.

That all being said...............how soon we forget the 10,000 strong that were at Texas stadium this year...rooting on the Pats.

Second the thoughts - well represented and most were A-OK in my book.

Except for the three right behind me. They had a sign that said:

Cancel
Brady's perfect
Season

The guy right behind them kept saying things like: "What is it, an 8 or 9 hour drive back to Pittsburgh??" Over and over and over. Funny stuff.

Had another guy a few rows forward actually fly in from Mexico (towel and all). Said he was born and raised there but loves football and picked the Steelers as his team when he was a kid.

There were a lot of SRO, but in 105 I didn't really notice more than a few. Nothing out of the ordinary. I remember more Jets fans at the playoff game last year.

For once I will agree with Tunescribe. There were maybe 700 STeelers fans there. It was just they all stick out like sore thumbs dressed in yellow with yellow towels. The only other fanbase to represent so well IMO was the Bears last year.

Two guys in front of me at the Port a potty line in the parking lot wearing Steelers Jerseys. One a Roethlisberger and the other wearing a Duce Staley . I asked them if they were from PA. One said he was from Maine and the other from Rhode Island. I know it was a few years back (2002) but I thought the Packers brought the most visting fans. Steelers and Eagles about the same with solid numbers this year.

Actually a friend of mine who is a Steelers fan brought me to the game. There wasn't too many besides him in my section though (312) maybe 4 or 5. I saw a few yellow towels scattered across the stadium but not too many. I'd say it was 5-10% Steeler fans at Gillette yesterday.

I tried to find reasonably priced tickets for a Pats home game this year, but had no luck. LL tickets selling for 5X-10X face value. I was forced to go to a road game instead. I applaud the Krafts for removing season ticket holders rights when they consistantly scalp their seats. Anybody with descent LL seats for next season home games I am your buyer as long as your not trying to make a killing!

can't remember seeing any Steel fans near us in the south EZ...but if there were, their ears are still ringing...that's for sure.

I would expect the most fans for the other team was in the various times we played the giants late in the season.

The fact that the hawkers shirts are black and gold also gave an illusion of many more fans.

If you lived in Pittsburgh, what else is there to do?
