Did anyone see that self-annointed bastion of class, Ladainian Tomlinson, show up his QB on live TV yesterday? Rivers came over the bench and sat down next to LT, who was so classy he jumped off the bench like it was on fire and stomped away.

Even before yesterday, he has made it very clear that he thinks Philip Rivers is the reason the Chargers offense as not as good as they expected to be. Publicy pointing fingers at teammates. Very classy indeed.

I've been looking for a Youtube clip of that with no success so far.

Ironically, did anyone catch the 60 Minutes segment on him after the game about how he is such a uniquely classy superstar in this day and age?

I heard the story was coming up on 60 minutes and changed the channel. He's shown his true colors on the field so many times, it's hard to watch the PR machine. And....what's with all the LT commericals?? Did Peyton turn some down?

No kidding?? Can you quote some of his undoubtedly priceless and classless...oops...classy lines please?

Sounds like Tomlinson should be playing with Paymeaton and they could take turns throwing each other under the bus.

Tomlinson acts like a younger version of Keyshawn Johnson who always wanted the ball constantly and when he didnt get it,he put the team under the bus.

Honestly, he can be a smug little crybaby sometimes, but I have to give the guy some credit - I think he just wants to win and he cares. It pisses me off a lot more when I see guys laughing on the sidelines when they're teams are getting beat down. I'd take LT in a heartbeat.

guys on WFAN are ripping LT for showing up his QB

I will refrain from pointing out that whereas my avatar is a picture of Tom Brady holding a Super Bowl trophy, yours is a gayish picture of him holding a baby goat... and I will refrain from asking what that says about me, and what that says about you... :D

OK, all the above was just in jest - I completely respect your opinion about LT. However, the issue under discussion is not his dedication to winning, nor is it his worthiness as a teammate, it is his supposed "class". I think the guy is a dolt for calling himself classy in the first place (particularly while pointing fingers at those in another organization in the same paragraph). I just find it deliciously ironic to see him repeatedly demonstrate his actual lack of class.

To emphasize this last point, we have all torched Peyton Manning for throwing his teammates under the bus, but at least he doesn't explain to us how classy he is while he is doing it. I have a lot more respect for Manning both as a player and a human being than I do for LT.

What LT did was a motivational tactic nothing more. It wasn't about trying to show "class" on the sideline. LT was po'd mightily at that point and PR needed to know that. The titties were cheap shotting LT and the entire team all day long. PR was playing for SHIITE at that point and he needed to hear about it. Did you notice where LT went after he got up? He went down the line. The whole team needed to hear about it. If LT isn't doing that nobody else is. SD damn sure can not count on Norv to rally the troops.

LT gets a big thumbs up in my book for that game. He did what all good leaders do, he inspired the team and willed PR and the team to the win.

And ESPN just tried to put a positive spin on it, "LT motivated Phillip Rivers!"

Oh my god, this is so ridiculous. I wish I could go on ESPN for one day and make fun of everything they said.

If Brady walked away from Maroney or Moss (not that that would happen, because Brady cares about his teammates) the media would put a negative spin on it.

if u want to see how to motivate your team..look at the sound clips on the pats sideline during the colts game and observe kevin faulk talking and yelling at the players in a circle...that is motivation..not walking away from your teamate who is struggling...
it all looks good now because SD won..had they not then no +ve spin like this couldve been made.

Oh goody, we have a Chargers apologist on a Patriots board ... be still my heart...

PromisedLand, you've got this situation all wrong. Ladainian was not walking away from Rivers, nor was he pissed off at Rivers. Ladainian got up to make room for Rivers. He is such a classy guy that he was giving Phillip his seat.

He's a great guy and I don't want to hear you say another bad thing about him.

:D Thanks for straightening me out, Bradmahn!

Rofl, First Dungy and now LT? I guess they will nominate LT for saint next because of the "classy" way he "motivates" teammates by throwing them under the bus!! :p

The classiest thing LT has ever said,"We're getting our ass kicked out there!" I'm sure someone has the actual quote but I'm close

I don't know where you guys are getting the idea that LT is throwing his teammates under the bus. I haven't heard anything of the sort. Anybody got a link?

Well, one thing's for sure, the Titans are dirty.

I remember the normally composed Pats almost starting an all out brawl our last game with them. It started with Rodney but continued throughout the game. I haven't seen the Pats get that emotionally unglued in a long time. They were pissed.
