It's striking just how often these guys are sitting next to each other and talking--you have to think it's going to play a part when Moss decides what to do next year.

I realize that cash is king, but when you compare where Moss is now--on a record-setting pace, playing for an undefeated team, playing with a QB he obviously really likes and respects--he just doesn't seem that he will just auction himself off to the highest bidder.

I think Moss is one of those players, like Brady and Bruschi, for whom the game is more important than money. As long as BB treats him with respect and gives him a top tier contract, he'll be back. He won't care if there are one or two WRs who earn more.

I fixed your post for you. :)

Maybe they need to hug a little more on the sidelines while they're at it - not to be too nitpicky, but Mr. Moss has dropped two great passes in the endzone the last couple of weeks. Drop a 5 yard out, I'm ok with it, but Randy, pull in those TD's, the playoffs are around the corner. Your boy Tom loves you, suck those in.

True dat! Although those are a couple more chits in TB's pocket for future use.

I'm with you, aluminum seats. I'm hoping that RM has "seen the light" and will stick around even if offered more elsewhere. Hopefully more of TB's attitiude has rubbed off on him and realized what a quality team can do for him, and what he can do for a quality team. (please...please...please...)

It's good I think.

Brady got over his heartbreak over Branch. NOthing like a new love to get a guy over the last heartbreak.

I wonder if Brady still thinks Branch is all that. With the benefit of time, he probably sees his as just another pretty good WR.

I think that Randy has something here that he values even more than winning: respect.

He absolutely loves it when Brady defends him, and BB calls him the smartest receiver he has ever met.

After 10 years of far less respectful treatment, it must mean the world to him.

I think that's true. What's funny is that so often in pro sports "respect" is just a euphemism for "money." But in this case, I think it actually matters. I'm not saying Moss won't get a great deal, but I think there will be an attempt to make it work w/the team.

In this case, after spending a few years wandering in the wilderness, I think he appreciates, ' the promised land' and with it the respect that follows. Watch his press conference yesterday. It was low key and I think he knows his best chance at the HOF is a few more years like 2007 with TB throwing him the ball and not the likes of Ken Walter......

What I'd REALLY LOVE to see is the Pats sign Moss to another 2 years and then pick up a great free agent who signs with the Pats for way below what he'd sign to play for another team.

I'm starting to LOVE how it's pissing off other teams fans that players will play for us below market value. Anything to make us more hated!:D :D

I wonder if Gissell sees this and gets jealous ;)

I think if he gets a fair contract, he will stay.
I agree we are like the 49er's in the 80's when vets would come and play for less to get a ring.

I'm with both of you. Once you start talking about "many many" millions instead of just "many", there isn't really that much of a difference, is there? Hopefully he'll decide that it's ultimately better to be with and play with a solid team who knows he's valuable.
