Of course teams are having success blitzing. The whole world knows Brady is going to throw and throw mid-range or deeper when in shotgun.
How about a little variety Josh??
How about some screen passes??
How abot Brady over center and two step drops and short passes to Watson and Welker??
Our predictability is making life much easier for these defenses than it should be and it's keeping our defense on the field because our offense is not sustaining drives.

What perfect timing, RhodyPatriot. PERFECT timing.

I couldnt predict that bomb from brady to gafney.

Hahahahahahahaha, I certainly saw the Brady-->Moss-->Brady-->Gaffney coming all day long.

lol, perfect call! Those young safeties are too eager, and Josh used that against them. Man, smith is getting beaten like a drum out there :rocker:

Let's see a few draws to 33 and a few handoffs to 39.

A lil run practice would be ok to see.

And one of the best defenses in the league STILL can't stop us.

So this is a problem, why?

To be honest, I'd love to have a perfectly balanced run and pass offense as well as all the points and wins - but it's kindof difficult to argue with the results of a 13-0 record.

Get in the "I'm banning myself until the season is over" line RP.

:D I love it when they listen to me.

And they scored 31 points on the no. 1 D in the NFL.

I think we run the table and go 19-0 so not much we can do but celebrate!

Bb and co SHOULD know we need to have a better running game next year and can address this in the off season.

What are you talking about FBN?? The Patriots did in fact open it up and run some of the very plays I wanted them to in the second half.
First half was way too predictable.
Steelers has 19+ minutes in TOP in the 1st half because we couldn't sustain any drives.
2nd half was a very different story. :rocker:

Not worried about lack of balance with run vs pass. I think sometimes Josh falls asleep and falls into a predictable pattern with the offense. Go back and look at the playcalling with the 3 and out right before the punt that lead to the Steelers TO and look at the playcalling on the next series when we went 3 and out and blew a FG. He called the exact same sequence and personnel in both failed drives. Anyone who taped the game go back and look. NOT GOOD!! There are so many different looks and different passing schemes. We saw that variety of sets in the 2nd half that were lacking in the 1st half. We get too predictable at times and it hurts us at times. Our defense was on the field for 19+ minutes out of a 30 minute 1st half. That's not what we want at all. Pats aren't going to score everytime but they need to sustain drives at times and didn't do so with some sleepy and predictable playcalling in the 1st half.

Maybe that guy was right this week. NEM is that you?

JUST JOKING PATSOX, JUST JOKING!

You need to run the predictable plays to run the other stuff or the other stuff becomes predictable.

Ummm...... no.

What happened was that Brady stopped going to the exact same hot read on every blitz and the receivers started holding onto the ball better. It was really that simple.

Um the 2nd TD to Moss was set up by the Maroney runs....

Do you mean its way to predicable they will score, or way to predictable they will win?
Come on you go with your strength and the strength of this team is its passing ability. They have the best QB in the NFL and the best 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 receivers in the NFL. Why would they not throw and throw and throw?

They became more effective the more they threw the ball because the offensive line and the backs became better at slowing the Steelers blitzes not unlike teams that run the ball run it better the more they do it. Same concept different application.

No one says that Jacksonville runs the ball too much and thus is too predictable, why because Jacksonville is a successful running team and running the ball is their strength.

Why should not the same be said of this team about the Pass? The Pats strength is the pass and they are maybe the best in the history of the NFL at Passing the ball. So let them pass the ball on every down.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you seem familiar somehow...
