Just now I was watching NFL Matchup on ESPN with Jaws and Co. Jaws said something that really amazed me. The Patriots have the fewest offensive possessions of any team in the NFL. That really says how dominate our offense is, and can be. With all the points we are scoring, and having the fewest O possessions is truly amazing. Just to show that when we have the ball we score a majority of the time. A bad side to this stat is that it made me think that if we have the fewest O possessions, that must mean that our D is on the field a lot.. A good reason why our D might be getting exposed of late.....tired. Just to add to this thread. Jaws is even getting tired of Hodges lame ass remarks. Jaws called him crazy by saying the Cowboys haven't peaked but the Pats have. Thanks Jaws for smelling out his BS.

No that would depend on time of possession, and that would be a problem if we scored quickly like many high scoring teams do, but we do not. We usually are pretty even with time of possession.

Thanks for the response. You'e right. Time of possession would be a factor. Thinking about the season I do believe we have a bunch of quick strikes for TD's. We also have those long drives where it probably evens out T.O.P.

Amazing stat! I definitely attribute it more to time of possession more than the fact that our D is on the field. Point in case is the Indy game, which was such a low scoring affair only because both teams put together some long drives.
