Seymour Is Playing Injured?

"Our sources in New England tell us that DRE Richard Seymour isn’t yet fully healed from a knee injury that forced him to miss the first seven weeks of the season. Heading into Week 14, the perennial Pro Bowl player had just 11 tackles and has been held without a sack. Those close to the situation say he’s not moving around as well as he used to, and consequently his numbers and his impact on the game are minimized."


I know it's only "sources", but it sure helps explain Seymour's apparent loss of effectiveness. Maybe signing the big payday isn't the reason after all.

Think that fat contact is what has slowed Richard down. Not questioning that his knee is weak, am saying his knee was fine last year and he was a non-factor most of the season. Richard hasn't been the same player since putting pen to paper on his new deal.

It is amazing in this league how you can go from hero to goat almost overnight.........Big Sey has been a tremendous ALL star on this team......one of the best of all time for us I believe,.....and I can only imagine that he is playing hurt due to the fact that his play has dropped off so much.......Hopefully he will be back full strength next season........When healthy this guy is a tremendous force......

Whoa!!! You surely seem to be on the practice fields and know well the intricacies of our defensive schemes as the coaches discuss it during their meetings when finalizing the roles/responsibilities of each guy out on the field.

You really think that BB and the coaches gave him a big fat contract without knowing more of what he is capable of and what he can do? Apparently so because you wouldn't make these statements that you want him to be cut and he is not worth the money.

I think you are just frustrated on not seeing the monster performance that you are used to see and expected to see.

If Seymour dogs next season (year 3 of his 4 year deal) like he has the past two after he got the big money BB and Co. will be looking at all their options. GUARANTEE YOU they won't sign Seymour for Top D-lineman money again because he's shown he's not worthy of it.
Don't be surprised if the Patriots look at D-line high up in this years draft.

The D line played well without him in the lineup. He came back, and the D line has had some shakey performances at times . If he's banged up, limit his snaps. Jarvis has done more than enough to show that he can get the job done, IMO.

would try to play when injured. Maybe, he is jealous of Dwight
