The playoff run in 05' is the best football we ever played during the Cowher era. Cowher finally had a franchise QB to go along with his outstanding run game and defense. When it all came together late in the season we went on a tear unlike any other team in history. First 6 seed to reach the championship, first 6 seed to reach the superbowl, first 6 seed to win it all. Not to mention we beat the top three AFC seeds then the Top NFC seed. All four of those teams had top ten offenses(1,2,4,6) if I'm not mistaken. It was the greatest run in postseason history, unmatched, probably never will be.
I have to say before this year, Pittsburgh was the team I disliked the most.
Couple of reasons. Number one, Cowher. That guy just -- what words can I say. He pretends to be a top NFL coach and plays Kordell (crying) Stewart. And sticks by the fool. Then he tells his team to pack their bags, they are going to the SB. Then all the antics and that stupid face. Every time I saw that guy it just turned me off. And he is even worse as an NFL commentary. And his co-workers know it. Go away already.
Second, Palmer. I am a person that can enjoy other NFL players. I really liked Palmer. Enjoyed watching him play. That AFC championship game where he was taken out, well, it did not sit well with me. He has never been the same since.
So, we move forward and Cowher is gone. Uh, seems Big Ben is happy about that. Pittsburgh does not bother me one bit. Big Ben seems to be an OK guy, and they are just playing football.
But honestly, I think the two biggest threats to winning the AFC championship are the Pats and Colts. And the Colts have to come to our house this time. Good luck.
And my new most disliked team, the Colts. Dungy, please with your religion. Get over it. No one on this planet is holy. And, I will not get into it, but you better take a look at your own life. And Manning, Peyton and Eli, spoiled brats. And the Colts fans, oh can it get worse.
So Pittsburgh, I will never root for you. Never. But, you are forgotten. If you win, so be it, I will get over it. The SB is all that counts.
Road to the SB game runs through Foxboro.
