its on saturday night.

Here we go:

NFLN game is on Thursday night
Pats should have a bye the following week

That means not only do the Patriots get a bye week, they get 3 additional days of rest (Fri, Sat, Sun) for a grand total of 10. This is a good thing for the playoffs.

I'd say that is good news. Mike Vrabel looks tired. Hasn't rushed the passer the same in a couple weeks. Ty Warren hasn't looked the same all year long.

Did you hear Senator John Kerry asked the NFL and Comcast to hurry up and agree on something. He's concerned that if the Pats are undefeated, fans will be cheated out of being able to see it. If you have COMCAST or CABLEVISION make the switch to DirecTV!!!!

Dude - the last week of the regular season there are no Monday night games, Thursday night games or any funny business. The league would not give that advantage to teams with extra time off or disadvantage to a team with less time off coming of MNF.

What are you a salesman or something. I hate to take sides when 2 multi-billion dollar corporations get into a pissing match, but I honestly can not side with the NFL on this one folks.

Anyways, it will be on channel 5 here.

Dude,

I have ComCast already and I get the NFL channel. Yeah, it's part of their digital package, but so what?

I have a hard time understanding why folks who won't bat an eye dropping 50 bucks for drinks and eats at a sports bar each game day will blanch at paying a few dollars more a month for the digital package that includes the NFLN. I don't work for the cable folks, I am self-employed, but in the great scheme of things, the extra expense for ComCast's digital package is well worth it, IMHO.

respects,

Some of us have POS cable companies like Brighthouse down here in Tampa who won't even offer the NFL Network. I'd gladly pay extra for it, but they won't even give me the option.

you dudes can just stream it online and connect your vidcard to the tv.

saturday night eh? so we may know if we have the second 16-0 team in NFL history BEFORE the other games are played? sweet

I'm going to be in Philly that weekend with in-laws, with pretty much zero chance at catching the game. :(

Maybe I can catch the replay on... NFLN?!?! Godammit!

respects,

If Comcast still offered NFLN on their digital tier, very few would complain. In most places Comcast moved NFLN into a sports package for another $8 a month for basically (for most people) just the NFLN. It's the hypocrisy on their part that is even more galling than being milked for extra $. Not my problem any more, I just moved to Verizo (which has been amazingly good so far).

Find a local sports bar and you'll see the game. Most, if not all of the local ones have the Sunday ticket from DirecTV so they'll get the NFLN and since it's a Saturday night and a chance to drum up business (Eagles/76ers and Flyers aren't going anywhere) they'll have it on....
Let me know what part of Philly and maybe I can steer you to where you can catch the game....

I actually thought of the whole sports bar thing, but since I see the in-laws like twice a year, I think I'm sorta obligated to spend time with them and stuff... I'd feel bad about saying, "Sorry folks, gotta skip out to catch the game!"

C'est la vie

What, they don't eat??? Take them out to dinner at the sports bar and pick up the tab. you get to see the game, spend time with them and come off as the good guy.. Win-win all around.......

I expect that if I had to I'll be able to watch this game on the web from here, just like I did the Packers Cowboys game on NFLN... but I'm pretty confident someone I know will be having a party and will get the game

The Giants may have their playoff spot cemented before this game as well, so they may rest even more than we do - since they will not have a first rounde bye....It will be a big rest-fest for everyone...
