Rodney fined $5000 for unsportsmanlike conduct as per NFL Network

What for? For trash talking Billick?

It was worth every penny. :rocker:

To be honest, players shouldn’t be saying anything to the opposing head coach, regardless of how disrespectful the other team is.

Doesn't he match his fine with a donation to charity?

Exactly!
People who are worked up about A Smith's comments shouldn't come here and defend Rodney.
I would hate to see the Pats turn into a bad NBA clone.

Does Billick get a fine as well, for blowing kisses? If Billick didn't pull that, Rodney's comment would not have been anything out of the norm. This ruling is kind of curious.

Excellent point. How would anyone know about it otherwise, had Billick not reacted the way he did?

You don't know that really. The officials on the field see and hear a lot more than the television audience does, so you can't assume it was just because of Billick's reaction that Harrison got pinched.

And what was so bad about Billick's reaction? Harrison was the instigator, and Billick reacted in a calm and restrained, and funny, way. If Billick responded with some expletive or something, then I might think differently.

Wow. I don't think he should be yelling crap at the opposing sideline or HC, but getting FINED for that???? 5K??? That's F-ing INSANE.

Billick is an idiot and had his head been in the game more, and less focused on "giving it back" to an opposing player, Baltimore may have won.

Was it funny? I guess. Professional? Not even close.

Brian B wont befined because the NAMBLA army will scream that his rights are being violated....

Do you have some reason to know that he has the NAMBLA army behind him, or are you just spewing garbage?

Let me get this straight...Rodney gets fined, but Chirs McAllister basically says the game is fixed and nothing happens?

edit- just saw the other story. NVM
