[Pats Fan in Indy]

Does anyone know if Golic has a beef with the Pats, or just doesn't respect us, or anything like that? Throughout the years, he has ALWAYS picked against the Pats no matter who the opponent was.

Earlier in the season, he was the only guy to pick the Chargers, and of course he picked the Colts, and now he's picking the Steelers. I'm getting tired of it. What is his issue with us?

It's the situation where a successful team cannot be successful forever. He's smelling blood from the last two games and figures the Steelers can win. I don't see anything wrong with that, as many others feel this way as well. No need to be offended. If the Patriots are better, they'll show it in the game.

That's the thing though... if you could go back and see his picks from the last 7 years, he ALWAYS has picked against the Pats. His philosophy seems to be "when in doubt, pick against the Pats."

At least we can all admired Golic's ethical steadfastness.

In November 2007 Golic admitted to using steroids during his NFL career. He claimed that his steriod use was limited to a few months during an off season to help recover from an injury. A week earlier Golic had stated on the Mike and Mike Show that he would not cooperate with a steroid investigation and that steroid use is no worse than speeding or jaywalking.

yes.... and instead of playing on the pats, he had to retire and play a Fat R.A. on "Saved By the Bell: The College Years". Which was the least Successful of the "Saved By the Bell" series.

I think all of those picks are perfectly defensible. Early in the year, who knew the Chargers were the craptastic batch spun out of the oven by Chef Norv? The Indy game was in THEIR house and they, too, were undefeated at the time. And now Pittsburgh comes into Foxoboro with the Pats on their heels a bit after consecutive iffy performances against two substandard opponents.

I'm not saying I agree with the guy, but it's not evidence that he has a problem with that Pats, IMO.
