I freakin LOVE those commercials!! That guy Matt is either a true South Boston native or a pretty damn good actor. My favorite to date is the one where he says he has a nine foot wing span & would be like an eagle picking a Chawowah out of a shoebox!

It has sitcom potential...IMO

I don't "really" speak like that, but my father grew up in Dorchester and man, they talk EXACTLY like that.

Contrary to your opinion, when I travel the country, most people (especially women) say "I love the way you talk!" I can go to a restaurant and the waitress will call other waitresses over t my table to listen... it can get embaressing.

Like I said, I don't talk like the guy on the commercial, but close enough for people to know I'm from Boston without blinking.

I find it more acceptable than that deep southern (phony) drawl...y'all...honeybunch, darlin'........wouldn't you agree?

For the most part, yeah. But I still despise Noo Yawk and BASTAN accents.

Now if you want to talk about cool accents, the Aussies and the Brits are best in that category.

Have you ever thought about WHY you dispise Boston & New York accents?

I'd rather listen to a woman with a french accent myself.

Strangely, I don't mind hearing a woman with a British accent, but when I hear a guy with one, I want to smack him. Especially if it's one of the "Haughty" British accents. The "commoner" British accent like Hugh Grant's isn't so bad.

Don't you think John F Kennedy's accent was great? Although his was more the "Hahvad" Boston accent.

Aqua here just hates winning, so he hates Boston. Maybe he was rejected by every single college in MA and ended up going to some 5th rate place in the PacWest.
