Call it a gutt feeling - there is a part me that thinks because he's been like a fly in the winter the past two weeks, he takes this "old & tired" team on his back this weekend and comes up big. I think the Pats build a game plan around him and he has a huge game. I think he feels his need in this one, especially after some big drops the last couple weeks, and has a monster. When you have the best WR in football, you have to use him, hell, toss it up there and let him make the play, which is something TB has abandoned the last couple games. There is a direct correlation to our lack of dominance and Randy being invisible. 120, 2 TD's this week.

the one flaw with your theory is if the refs dont call holding on the DB's he aint going no where.
I dont know what they are waiting for but its gotta stop a little bit doesn't it?

I think you are partly right. I think you are wrong about the Patriots planning the offense through Moss. Why would you game plan your offense around the one player the opposition is sure to attempt to eliminate?

I think Moss comes up big, too. You can't hold him down forever.

Mr. Moss is not a fan of physical contact and Pittsburgh is all about being very physical.

If Mr. Moss and Mr. Stallworth can pull defenders down field, Mr. Welker, Mr. Faulk and Mr. TE Ben Dropson should have career days in the flats or on check down routes.

Despite all the holding last week Moss had a TD, a TD drop and two steps on a CB for a 50+ yard TD that didn't reach him. If the Patriots were sharp (and the wind was gone), Moss would have had a huge game. The Patriots offense executing well is far more important to me.

true true. Plus you know he's mad as hell about those drops. The thing about Moss is that he's such a big play guy, he's always only one or two plays away from having a huge game.

They need to get physical back...........simple as that. If the refs dont call it push off on their asses.

It might be funny if it were true. Unfortunately Watson has a very good Catch% this year. Unfortunately for him everyone notices the drops (which admittedly there was a bad one this week) and ignores the catches. Is it now Randy Drop also ?

hopefully he shows up early the key to the patriots is getting up big early, when they do that everything falls in place

Nope not as funny as Dropson.

You can't make fun of Jabar's last name because a "gaff" is a mistake.

I guess you could call him Wes Misser.

I'm kidding of course. The Nevermores game was just a bad game for all the WR's. I expect them to be better this week.

I think this is the week it stops. Tivo doesn't lie. Many people have commented on the amount of holding Baltimore did in that game, so I find it hard to believe the league will allow it to happen a 2nd week in a row (or 3rd, if you want to count Moss being held by Philly's CBs).

Digressing back to MNF, several people have moaned about how the Watson 4th down hold was "no worse than what went on all game and should have been let go", but Len Pasquarelli(sp?) of SI.com said that even if that's your take, on the same play Bart Scott had Jabar Gaffney in a bear hug so that should have gotten the flag anyway. That's how much holding there was going on that night.

Regards,
Chris

Not necessarily. Moss had one major drop on Monday, and that other play early in the game when he beat his guy and Reed both but the wind caught the ball. That's the beauty of Brady-Moss. You can play illegally on him all game, but at some point he's going to break free anyways, and when he does Brady is going to him.
