Thinking of picking up tickets for the game this weekend. I was hoping somebody could tell me how the SRO works at Gillette. Thanks for the help!

you get in the stadium, and then you do whatever you can to find and retain an acceptable vantage point. SRO is best handled with at least one other person, so you can take turns hitting the pisser/beer stands.

Yeah, I figured rolling solo in SRO probably wasn't the best idea...Any tips on best vantage points?

Behind sections 111-113... There are Restrooms and beer stands right across from you, and you get a pretty good view of the field.

However... SRO tix for a game like Pitts. wont be worth the $$.

Your best bet, is to do what i do... GO ALONE!!! :D It's the best way to roll!

You can then prolly find a GREAT single seat (Lower Level, mid field) for the same price (around $200).

It's how I am able to get a great seat to just about every home game. It's like im a season ticket holder (just a little more expensive). lol

I am kind of concerned about rolling solo, as I am a Steeler fan. I am not sure what to expect from the fans at Gillette. Generally when I go to away games, I go with a friend, just in case things get out of control.

If you're not acting like an arsehole, you won't be treated like one. Have fun!

As long as you're not there causing trouble, you'll be fine. Id of offer to hang out with you before the game and share a few beers... but I dont roll with the enemy like that (unless im related to them). :D

I know a lot of Steeler fans going to the game, although I doubt we will be in force like we are at other venues. This has been a more difficult ticket to find.

Go for it. If you have an opportunity to attend a game like this, don't hesitate. The stadium is friendly, and you'll be able to say you attended an unforgettable game. This is not like Philly or NYJ territory where the fans make sport of anything including Santa. Hope it works out for you.

I was at the Steelers-Jets game a couple weeks ago, and it was pretty brutal, although well deserved after that loss.

oh--you'll get ribbed, and there are jerks at every game, but for the most part it should be a blast for you--i went SRO last year for the Chicago game and ended up having a lot of fun with a few diehard Bears fans standing near us...just...well...dress WARM...as soon as the sun drops, so does the temperature, and the breeze will go right through the walkways and gate areas...

You'll find it nothing like the Meadowlands, where the Jets fans now have a new sport during football games, I understand. As FF says, you'll get ribbed if you're in your Steelers colors, but keep a good sense of humor and make smalltalk to the fans around you. You should have no problems.

BTW, let us know how it works out and what kind of experience you had.
