C'mon Corey don't you want another ring? We need you oh so badly right about now and in the play offs. We're sorry we drafted Maroney can you please come back and forgive us?

Damn, NSA is hacking people's accounts now too. Its an epidemic :)

I mean I know Corey averaged 3.5 and 4.1 ypc his last two seasons which is clearly better than Maroney's 4.3 that he's averaged both seasons. Oh and how Corey's career average of 4.3 ypc is much better than Maroney's 4.3 ypc.

I think he would come back in a second if he was asked. BB stated they were not interested in resigning him

Maroney just had one of the best games of this season. Can't we at least save this thread for another week?

I'm with ya boss. Corey Dillon is the perfect guy(if he is in shape and healthy) to get us those tough 3rd and 1's, 4th and 1's, and goal line touchdowns. I know his attitude is a question, but the guy was a HORSE. I loved the guy.

I like Maroney and Faulk, but a guy that can pound the ball would be nice to have.

Don't get me wrong I like Maroney (I said we're sorry because it never seemed to sit right with Dillon that we drafted his replacement) But Corey is automatic on 3rd and short 4th and short goal line situations etc. I mean look at his TD production even when he wasn't running his best '04-12 '05-12 '06-13

If Corey was a horse in 2006 they'd have shot him instead of cutting him. He was Secretariat in 2004, but he'd headed down the road to the old glue factory by 2005. In 2006 he was often unavailable for long stretches when they needed a pounder, but how quickly we forget. Beichick doesn't game plan around guys he can't count on. Which is why Maroney isn't getting all that many touches.

He was a HORSE in the sense that he was a STUD down near the goal line and getting the 3rd and 1's and 4th and 1's. I know this much, I'd rather have Corey filling that job than Heath Evans.

what do we have to lose by bringing him back? other than having to listen to everyone in the league whine about it.

Actually, I thought Maroney was pretty good catching the ball out of the backfield last night, which supports what I have been saying all along.

Keep Maroney, but turn him into a thrid down/goal line/screen play Kevin Faulk type of back.

Then, do whatever we have to do to get Darren McFadden in here next year to be our every down stud.

The two of them together will make our running game one of the best in the league for YEARS to come!

Never going to happen. He isn't a good route runner and he isn't quick enough in transition. Kevin Faulk is special.
