Anyone who watched the game last night can't deny we had our fair share of luck. Baltimore didn't help themselves with penalties and what seemed like a stupid TO call when the Ravens had stopped us, and basically won the game right there. We had alot go for us last night. Our own performance was way below par IMO. Dropped passes from Watson and Moss that should have been atleast 12 more points and Brady and his recievers had probrably their worst performance in along time, although Baltimore didn't excactly make it easy. Our defensive line was man handled for the majority of the game allowing Mcgahee to do basically do whatever he wanted and it showed. He went through our D like a hot knife through butter again, and again, and again. Our own running back sadly needs to take note on how to hit holes. I've tried to stick up for Maroney but he frustrated me last night. He's too dainty in his play. He'll get to the hole but wont go through it with the venom he should. Ofcourse thats easy for me to say, I haven't got 267 pound Linebackers waiting to take my head off but he should be running alot harder. Everything pointed to a frustrating defeat against a fired up Ravens team.

But we won the game.

Again the team showed heart and character to stay with it and although our our play in general wasn't what it can and should be, we stood our ground and fought. Rodney's passion was clear giving Billick some Rodney love, frustration was evident throughout but we pulled it off. I was so wrong about Baltimore too, but I bet I wasn't the only one thinking a pats win would be pretty straight forward. Sorry to bring soccer up but I'm getting the feeling I did back in 2005 when Liverpool won the big one. No matter what happened during that competition, for some reason you just knew we were going to do it, our name was on the trophy.

After last night, it just crept into my mind that maybe this year, the pats are destined for it all.

That feeling that no matter what was happening you knew we would win. Is brought to you by 'Tom Brady'. He has a will to win, and the talent to accomplish it. That's what seperates him from everyone else. He elevates his game, and brings the rest of the offense with him!

No doubt, but it was they way the game went at the end too. You just couldn't help but feel like it was meant.

Unless it's just me :D

A team of destiny.

Bullseye. Notice Brady's calm, determined demeanor evidenced in the last couple drives. Newbie Wes Welker, whom I like, was emotional and over the top, starting to lose it a bit. Brady talked to him and probably calmed him down. When you're in a firefight you want calm guys who know what they're doing and can do it, not hysterically emotional types outa control. Brady is one of those rare guys. And it spreads to the others.

Nope, not just you, I had that feeling at the beginning of the 4th quarter, and as the Ravens started their meltdown with the grousing about penalties, I settled in to watch a very pleasant ending to the game.

Postscript: About the only time I've ever heard Kornheiser at a loss for words was when Gaffney caught the TD pass and the Ravens kindly donated yards and yards to the Pats for the kickoff. Really nice of them, and a pleasant time with the absence of Kornheiser's voice. This guy is not just a non-factor in terms of adding value to a broadcast, he's a negative factor. Ok, off my soapbox for now . . . .

You do have to wonder what the Pats have to do to lose.

That time out call was utterly bizarre, the Ravens committed any number of stupid penalties and Boller threw a very strange pick indeed (well, strange by the standards of any normal NFL Quarterback).

Then you have the Hail Mary at the end, which may just have been in the endzone without Bart Scott's double stupidity.

Kudos to the Pats for the win, because they just never give up. However, if I were a Ravens fan, I would be absolutely furious with my team at this point.

Heart stopped for a second when he hauled that in.

I don't believe anything is "meant to be". If we keep playing well, we will win. If the Steelers come in and play as hard as the Ravens, but don't commit the penalties and don't break down, and we play like ****, we will lose. Thats it.

Brady is doing a real stand up PR job. Any of these offense PI calls/noncalls should just be refered to Brady and let him rant to the Refs about it. He talks to the refs all fired up but he would never get a flag. If it is going to be talked about in the media, let Brady handle it. He did a great job with the Moss/ Jaws thing this week.

The Karma was something else last night. Three fourth downs? That was unreal.

No matter what happens no matter how bleak it looks I always still think the Pats are going to win. After the past 6 years, I have no reason not to.

I was in complete shock when they lost the AFCCG last year. I couldn't believe they didn't pull it out.

Last night I was nervous as hell but I still thought they would win. They have done it so many times, how can I can not? They have earned my faith.
