Okay, so if I ESP, I might not have picked this game to attend...it was totally brutal. Freezing cold, snowing a bit and filled with hostile purple-clad drunks. you expect it, but still, the reality exceeds it, believe me.

Our seats were in section 100, row 14, which is on the 45 yard line, right behind the Pats bench. Awesome seats. We were in a small pocket of Pats fans, but there were plenty of Ravens fans, and they were pretty obnoxious for the most part. Some very quite nice and I made sure to be very nice to them and compliment their team, because some comments we got were a little scary. One guy looked at my dad in his red Pats sweatshirt and said, "Don't make yourself a target." WTF?! Anyway, glad to be by some Pats fans....safety in numbers.

Here are some photos I got. Some are blurry because I was zooming in as far as I could go and my poor camera can only take so much.

Okay, I'll post more in the next post.....

This one came out blurry. Boo.

Tedy B. I HATE that this one came out blurry but I was lucky to get it at all.

More in the next post.

I love this one. Same drive.

Tom throws the ball. It was incomplete, I think. I wish that guy's big purple hat wasn't in the picture.

More in the next post.

Belligerent Ravens fan before the game winning TD. He was actually one of the nicer ones.

Tom right after the game winning TD.

Rodney has a drink and gets his leg worked on though you can't see it.

That's all for now. I have more, but my kid is bothering me to get off the computer!

Thanks Chick. Was wondering if you were a part of the Patriots fans that Channel 5 went over to during the pre-game.

Have you been able to warm up? Now you can tell Harrison Brady that you saw Harrison and Brady live!!:rocker: No matter how cold it was out there, it was not as uncomfortable as watching the game on ESPN.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

Live in MD, and have attended several Raven's games, although not lastnight. The word fan comes from fanatic, and Raven's fans definitely are fanatical. They hate most opposing teams and their fans, but what you saw last night was probably mild.
They are their most venomous to Steeler and Colt fans.

Is it just me, or does the guy standing "behind" Tom deserve either a thunderous round of applause or a visit to a nice padded room? ;)

That looks like the intern that was impressed with at TC. He caught balls during drills that the QB's were throwing with some steam. He never dropped a ball.

Can they sign him to the Practice Squad? :)

Great pics! Thanks for sharing!

:)

Nice! I am sure my wife will like to see these pictures.

It was really cold around Virginia last night, so it must have been even worse up the road. Probably zero degrees with the wind chill.

Cool pics! Good on ya for braving the den of the Ravens to see our Pats play! Looks like those must have been GREAT seats too judging from those pics. Wow I envy you. Were the tix hard to get?

Thanks for the account, Bella!
Great seats, indeed!

The tickets weren't hard to get because I didn't get them. My husband did, and I have no idea what he did because he won't tell me. I do know that similar seats were going for $500-$700 on ebay and stubhub!

Anyway, yeah, wasn't feeling it for much of the game. our defense looked pretty bad, but it seemed like the play that did it was that Losman-like play by Boller where we HAD him and he managed to squirt away and complete a pass for a first down and more. You know, that kind of thing happens once, you chalk it up to a fluke, but it happens a LOT with this team. I don't know. Last week, I said Feely just had the game of his life, but this week Boller looks like an All-Pro and suddenly I am not so sure anymore. Is it because everyone plays their absolute best against us? Maybe? Is it because we aren't as familiar with the Ravens? Maybe. But at some point, I have to admit our D is just not getting it done.

It's weird, I feel LESS good about 16-0 or 19-0. In fact, I am concerned we could be one and done in the playoffs with our D looking this bad. If we lose a game though, it feels like the air will go completely out of the balloon. It almost feels like we're trapped by these expectations.

I was at the game as well...20 yard line, LAST ROW, Ravens side...freaking cold!!

Thanks BC, those were great pics and it's always interesting to hear a patsfans poster's account of being there.

cool...

Your kid is already using the computer? Now, that's precocious! ;)

Thaks for the game pix and comments. I was looking forward to them.

Did you get any pictures of the Ravens fans after the game?

:D

I was amazed at how terrible the Ravens fans were. There was one guy who followed me all the way out of the stadium trying to throw. I've never heard an n-bomb at an NFL game, but I heard numerous last night. "Brady's a f**, Moss is a n*****" it was quite appalling. We parked in the lot outside the stadium under the overpasses, and they were fairly rowdy after the game, breaking glass, throwing things, and being generally unruly. I've been to quite a few stadiums, and the behavior of these fans as a whole was pretty much the worst I've seen. I don't know if it was because it was a night game, too much drinking, the close ending or what, but the gameday experience as a visiting fan was pretty bad.

The stadium is very nice though, and I had a decent weekend in DC.
