An undefeated season ended 3 times before my very eyes.

Yet each time, we somehow were given another shot.

I've never, and doubt I will again in the near future, see a football game where 3 fourth downs are apparently failed, but then re-tried, all on the same game winning drive.

Honestly, I feel that final drive doubles the dramatics the Cleveland Browns have been experiencing this season. Especially considering, keeping our undefeated record was on the line.

Amazing.

So my question is, how did you guys react to each apparently game ending fourth down? Not after the fact you knew we'd get a shot, but while still thinking the game was then over.

It’s amazing tonight, even with a win, I was god damn sure able to feel, even if for just a few seconds, what a loss what have felt like this season, being we seemingly had one 3 times.

So again, seeing Brady run into a wall, a failed rush up the middle and the overthrown pass in the endzone, what was going through your head?

I was mostly dwelling on the 'fact' that I'd have to avoid any sports media because of all the crowing about the mighty Patriots' bid failing at last... Living in MD would have made it all the worse...

First time (timeout Ravens)- Put my hands on my head, collapsed on the floor.

Second time (false start, Patriots)- I saw that one coming; the whistle blew the play dead.

Third time (incomplete pass)- Put my hands on my head, collapsed on the floor.

I'm sort of conditioned never to assume an NFL play will stand. After every key play I'm looking for a flag or some ref running in. The calls last night came in quick and the TV crew did a decent enough job where I just never had enough time to think it was finally over.

In fact, on that time out I was still pacing back and forth saying "why the hell didn't Faulk dive for the first down?!?!?"

Yeah, just an amazing final drive. An opponents' timeout saving us. Wow.

I loved Brady after the game on that: "I heard the whistle. I stopped."

I felt like Sully from Monsters Inc... At the point when boo was "crushed" when he would look... then faint... look then faint... look then faint...

Yeah, that was about me, shaking, sweating, just dumbfounded at the ending. I'm currently about to make my 2nd 32oz capt n coke... lol

3. Me: Ok, I guess this is where I start sacrificing my first born, etc..

I think I shed a tear on that TO that killed it for the ravens. After that I said the Pats were meant to win this game. I kinda stopped worrying after that.

I was almost sure that they had lost it on the third fourth down. Brady was running around and I knew there was nobody open and then he just chucked one and I felt like it was surely over.

I'm with you. I had no reaction to any of these plays because I waited a few seconds before letting myself digest it.

But I was texting my friend towards the end that a loss actually wouldn't be so bad as long as they still got the #1 seed.

Anything to keep these teams from getting geeked up like they are playing the SB. It's just tough to match that intensity every week. A lot to ask of any team.

I was absolutely horrified when they gave Heath the carry on fourth down I believe. It was the false start one. I like Heath but come on. Its a huge situation what is he doing in there running the ball! I was ready to turn off the TV when Brady got stopped and then I saw the TO.

I do recall after that horrible call with the run to Evans -- just an awful call, the guy couldn't move a pile of high school defenders -- I was actually relieved that they were backed up 5 yards because it meant there was no chance that turd would touch the ball and it was all in Brady's hands.

i think faulk coulve got the first down if he knew where he was before running out of bounds..that led all this drama really

Ditto. If the game is on the line, I want it in Brady's hands.

yeah, that was the first thing i thought about as well. I basically have ESPN on XM all day long at work, so i was playing in my head what guys like Cowherd, or tirico(sp?) might say. then I say the ref running out waving his arms (on the failed Brady QB sneak) signaling a time out had been called. i honestly could not believe it! I kinda still can't believe it and i'm sure there are still a few Ravens players that still can't believe it.

I hid my remote because I would have thrown it on my newly acquired LCD. :D

Oh geez. I was swearing at Faulk for a full minute after he didn't reach out for a first down.

hehe, my wife had my cell phone hidden from me.... Didn't matter, I was flat on the floor for most of those plays...

I think 911 may have been on speed-dial now that I think about it..

You want MY intial reaction?

More evidence to the fact that Jesus IS a Patriots fan!!
