was on with the sportscenter crew...said they outphysicalled us today and man on man beat us ..this is the worst rush D we played and we need correct our mistakes and get ready for pitt.

That running TD McGhee had was quite amazing when he should have been brought down on the 7 yard line.

but to our credit, I think we buttoned them up completely on the fourth Q.

How bad are we missing Rosey? I think a few here don't think it is not that big a deal but I think otherwise.

I like to see someone speak up about it. It was absolutely horrific to see Mgahee moving forward when he was seemingly stopped. He ran all over them. They couldn't tackle. It was an embarrassment and I hope they seriously fix it up. It was terrible. Every time Mgahee got a big run(which was a LOT), I'd just scream at the TV. "Can you f**king tackle him!".

the only thing i think it would hurt, would be our l.b. rotation. keeping guys fresh. but i dont think thats what hurt us tonight. i think tonight was about missed tackles.

Belichick apparently touched on the fact in his PC that these guys are tired. 3 prime time night games in a row. And as Fred and Steve are eluding to in their post game comments, teams with nothing to lose are taking chances (include committing penalties some of which went uncalled for 3 quarters) and playing for their season by trying to knock off the best team in the league. Next week, Kyle Boller will suck again - just like Feeley. This week he played the best game of his career...for three quarters. But when it mattered most our disgraceful D stepped up. It's a 60 minute game, and all that counts is who's ahead when the clock runs out. Just like in 2001 or 2003 when our defense collapsed down the stretch on the way to a ring.

BTW Rodney has earned the right to call his teamates out. No one in this fan base has done a damn thing to earn that right. And Rodney didn't use terms like disgraceful. I don't know where some of you people came from, but I'm pretty sure you were never avid Patriots fans before you signed on here...and if this 12-0 team truly embarasses you, why don't you just find something else to do on Sunday's and Monday's and leave this place for actual hard core Pats fans.

For the lighter side of things,Sensational teams like the Broncos of 1998 and the 49ers of 1989 each had hiccups near the end of the regular season and those hiccups turned out to be losses with both ending those regular seasons 15-1 ...So far our hiccups are just nail biting WINS,NOT LOSSES..Yet

I'm glad Rodney and the team are aware of just how horrendously awful they were on both sides of the line tonight. I hope they cna get it fixed. If they can't, this team isn't beating Pitt or Dallas and maybe not Indy.

You act as if the 1st half defined the Patriots run-D last night...it did NOT. The second half actually defined our run defense and really should be what we're all talking about. A defense is always defined by how it plays when the game is on the line. After the 1st series (ugly) Ravens series of the 2nd half, their offense was rendered irrlevant.

Don't think for a minute the Patriot defense that will show up against the Steelers will look anything like what you saw in the 1st half+ against the Ravens. It WILL be what you saw the last 3-4 series last night...that was our real defense!

I think what MoLewis is saying is that no matter how much we criticize, it doesn't mean jack in the grand scheme of things. Fans opinions are just fans opinions...they will never shake a team up or cause anything to change. Basically, our opinions are irrelevant to anyone but us.

But Rodney's opinion is very, very relevant to ALL the Patriots players.

i agree with rodney... we use to pride ourselves w/ a defense that stops the run primarily... thats why we big bodies up front... seymour should stop being a rich big fat tub of lard and start making some plays like he used to or we will incur more injuries in our defense (especially the linebackers) along the season... rosie is the first casualty, i hope nobody goes down again...
