Re: How Many of Us Just Threw a Brick at Our Screens?

somebody ask him to break out the fat lines...

What a freeaking tool that guy is...

Re: How Many of Us Just Threw a Brick at Our Screens?

I just laughed - he's not worthy of breaking my TV.

The Rushing stat is impressive but we're definitely on Everest peeing on the Dolphins if we break all the records we're on track to break.

Yeah, that guy is definately a moron, couldn't believe how he acted, like a damn child.....

I think they were interviewing him more for the comedy factor than anything else...

Let the old rooster strut about while he can. I'm sure his ego somehow feels threatened by the "new kids" on the block.

Well, after watching the interview. I guess they are right. Those 72 Dolphins aren't pathetically holding onto their undefeated record at all. I got the feeling Mercury Morris was annoyed that he was even on ESPN talking about what he considered to be a trival record with no significance whatsoever.

In all seriousness, he came off like a tool. He is like that guy you went to high school with who broke the school passing record and then goes to the 20th year reunion and endlessly talks about breaking that record as if his life since high school has been worthless and he peaked in high school. All you can do is just sit there and pretend to be interested and then when he leaves talk about how much of loser he has become.

What'd he say?

i feel bad for Bob Griesie.. He looked uncomfortable with the comments Mercury was making..

Re: Mercury Morris

A husband needs a wife??? If the Patriots do have that dream season I hope the a-holes like Morris and Shula are thrown off the stage...Norris is a coke head nothing..and ESPN os showing they are just idiots having them on... same for Tom Jackson FU!!!!!!

yeah he's Al Bundy in Married with Children

Yeah, Griese was definitely trying to take the high road and trying to shed that bitter old men with the champagne ready image that has been the stigma of the 1972 Dolphins for a while now. Everytime Morris opens his mouth, he fuels that perception.

Al Bundy – A Chicago-area shoe salesman, husband, father of two, founder of NO MA'AM (National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Mastery) and the spiritual leader of the Cold, Hard Football Facts. A star running back at Polk High School, Al once scored four TDs in a single game.

LOL! Didn't even think of Al Bundy, but the comparison fits.

Re: Mercury Morris

So what did he just say? I had the TV muted.

Re: Mercury Morris

Just listened to Mercury Morris on ESPN and what he has to say about the Patriots. Obviously he doesn't now nor ever will have anything good to say about them.

Here is what somebody else thinks of Mercury Morris and some of the things he has to say about the Pats.

He was a riot !!! He quoting stats from a magazine, saying that ESPN misrepresented the Dolphins in a comparision to the Pats. Calling the Pats the wives of the Dolphins, it was great entertainment. Brian Greise said if the Pats win out, great, would love to share the mountaintop. Morris chimed in and " Not Mt Everest, that belonged to the Dolphins" It was great stuff, no wonder ESPN got this guy in !!
