I can't wait. Friends and I will do up a huge spread for the game. Our friend from Boston area who is Patsy fan is banned for the day. He has been instructed to stay at least 500 yards from us all day for his own safety.

Looking forward to a great game.

My hope for the game is that we come out throwing the ball. Our running game has been awful. This will be the best defense NE has faced. Moss will be a non-factor guaranteed. The Steelers always take away a team's primary big play receiver. Welker could have a good game though.

Let the countdown begin.

I think Indy is, and still will be, the best defense we face all year. I'm not saying Pitt's defense isn't good or perhaps as good or better than Indy when facing all 31 teams but Indy matches up well with the Pats.

Even if you hold Moss to 4/50 he's still a factor because you have to account for him so saying that is a gross over statement.

Good luck.

You are correct there. I worded myself poorly. He will be factor, but not so much in the stat column.

Just curious... why do you think Indy matches up so well? Indy's defense seems fairly vanilla to me. Standard Tampa 2 with little blitzing. Their ends present problems for your tackles at times. Other than that... what do they do so special?

I think Pittsburgh has a more physical defense which I believe is critical when facing your offense. In addition, we have good speed. I'm curious what LeBeau will do next week. I could see him doing anything from bringing the house to dropping 8 in coverage.

You do have good speed, Indy has great speed. With Freeny out I think that might change.

While a pressure 3-4 can give the Patriots trouble they've handled it this year pretty seamlessly. Jets (yes they're bad), Browns, Cowboys, and Chargers. The Browns allowed 27 (pick 6 for 7 points) and everybody else is 38+.

The Chargers are probably the best comparison. Front 7 is probably a push and I'd give you an advantage in the back 4 but if TP doesn't play it's probably even.

Also I think Indy's back 4 (or nickle and dime) are better than Pitt.

The Colts are ranked #2 in the league. But Pitt is #1 by a long shot. 277.0 YPG vs. 230.8 YPG. In addition, Pitt is #1 vs. the pass ahead of Indy at #2. Now, I will admit, they have played NE and we haven't which could skew the stats, but I will have a hard time ever admitting the Colts have a better defense than us.

We will definitely need Troy back for next week, and I think he will play. His coverage skills and speed will be critical. His replacement, Carter, is more consistent in run support but he is slow.

It will be an interesting game. Another thing is Pitt has had a tough go on the road this year.

True. I can't explain that one. It's odd as they used to be a very good road team. I don't think the road thing will be a factor this coming week though as all their road losses were to poor teams. They will be up for this game without a doubt.

It will a good game. It's actually not that important of a game for Pittsburgh. With Cleveland losing, they have the division all but wrapped up. If you assume the Colts are the #2 seed, the following game against Jacksonville is much bigger.

I disagree. Indy and Pitt are both beat up and both need the bye week. I would much rather have Indy coming to my house after I've had a bye rather than the other way around. The 6 seed is likely Cleveland, Tenn or a slim chance of the Bills. All can play physical.

It's not 12/09 yet nitwit, we still have a game tonight yet to play.

I'm sure your friend the PATRIOTS fan, (NOT PATSY) is crushed he's missing the spread your having during the game; spam sandwhiches, wow, his loss......

Prepare for a beat down.

If Rodney is hurt and/or the defense plays like they did tonight (actually the past two weeks, making two stiff QB's look like HOF shoe ins), I think not.

This team is taking on water and I hope the defense can turn things around; Colvin being out is a much bigger loss than people are willing to admit. Having to play Junior and Tedy full time in the middle could be a serious issue..........

I agree the #2 seed would be huge. I just don't think its a likely outcome. In that respect, I suppose I am conceeding its just not going to happen.

I'm not worried about Cleveland. They are still the Browns, and they will remember that along the way. They stink.

After watching last night, I feel pretty good about next week. I'm not going to make any bold claims, but I have no concerns that we can move the ball on the Pats defense. If we can slow down the offense, and I think we can, its going to be a great game. In a strange way, the Pats winning last night all helps the Steelers next week phycologically.

We need to win 2 of the next four to wrap up the bye and home field.

Everyone will expect a very tough game against the Steelers and that why it will be a big win margin for the Patriots.

I like your avatar. I may make a real video of the same indecent act after this week's game.
