wut i get from that, is that the ref flipped the coin the first time, it goes NE's way...and then something went "wrong", so he flips agian, going IND way....and then Izzo is pissed, walks off, and Bruschi lets the ref have it....

owww, new things come out every day eh? and another thread was started today about the colts being favored by the refs...go figure

Over on the Jags board today people were furious about the calls and also making numerous posts about the suspect crowd noise.

I love the replay of the pass that that BB challenged as being out of bounds. It was completely clear that the gys foot was out.... Anyway, the funny thing is that you can see the ref's arm initially signaling the pass was no good in part of the frame, and then the other ref comes in and overrules him.

What a joke.

Anyway, I missed the coin toss live and wow, that was pretty bad. We all should have know something was amiss. The Colts and their fans can say and think what they want, it was a poorly called game. The Ref's were their 12th man. The crowd was simply cake. We will have a chance to face them again soon enough in the playoffs. This time in our house. I just want the ref's to call a fair game. Enough with this bull**** calling. It's time for it to end.

Hmmmm... wonder if Bruschi's comments didn't pee off the refs (not saying it was undeserving), and thus all the bad calls during the game? That was indeed disturbing to see him pick up the coin and re-flip it.

It looked like the coin went a bit astray, thus the reason he picked it up and flipped it again. However, I recently watched a video of some game (not sure which, might have been Super Bowl X which I watched a highlight of the other day) where a player complains of a coin hitting a player's foot, and the ref saying "that's alright".

Once a coin is toss, I say you gotta take it as it lays, or you're asking for all sorts of trouble.

The guy just flubbed the coin flip. No biggee. If part of my job is flipping a coin, I'm guaranteed to screw that up a few times in my career. It's not the easiest thing to do. Ever try flipping a coin 100 times?

As much as Id like to I dont really see an issue there.
It looks like he dropped it rather than flipping it and immediately went to pick it up. I dont think he could have seen the result before he quickly went to grab it.
