Fins 0-16 coming to fruition

We've read here constant blather about what an offensive genius Cam is. We've read what a top flight WR that TOP 10 Pick Kick Returner Ted Ginn is, we've read here wonders about Glenn (sic) Beck. And what do we see? A team ROUTED by the poorly coached, 2 win Jets. A QB tossing 3 picks and still without a single TD pass. Not one.

Beck, Ginn, Cam and the lphins are PATHETIC!

I want to trade down and trading the #1 pick is almost impossible.

Change that to #2 and try to convince the rest of this board that, would ya?

Trading #2 isn't impossible but it's not exactly a certainty. Those top 3 picks have so much value it's going to cost a team an entire draft to move into those spots.

No, it does not need to cost a team that much. A competent GM can shed some bogus value points to get done what's needed to be done.

Hey, I wonder if the Pats can draft a good kick returner with their Top 10 pick?

The Dolphins need quality players more than McFadden, especially because Brown really came on this year.

They really, really ought to parlay their draft position into as many picks as possible and try to redo what Jimmy Johnson did in 1996.

Look at chart value, guy. You're wrong, it takes a ton to move up that high unless you're moving up a spot or 2 and even then it's a lot.

No, but I'm sure they can find a receiver that can't crack a spot on the team or a safety who can't get a start over James Sanders.

Ted Ginn has already done way more then Chad Jackson.

Actually they're very comparable... Jackson has 3 TDs, Ginn has 1 (zero receiving). Neither can be deemed as good picks as of right now, yet they both have a case for their disappointment (Jackson has a plethora of good WRs ahead of him, and Ginn has no QB, no RB... and basically no offense around him).

Your facts are wrong. Ginn has 1 receiving TD and 1 return TD.

Yeah they've both come along slow but I'd much rather have Ginn then Jackson at this point and your point about Ginn having no offense around him is valid. Jackson has been injured to much to try to beat out Stallworth, Welker, Gaffney and co.

Don't forget future picks, players, etc. It can happen. Also, the value chart has been tweaked and will continue to be because of what you're talking about: overrating the top picks.

As far as Ginn, when the Pats drafted CJ, they didn't need a QB, a DE, an OL or - come to think of it - almost any position to be improved. Ginn would have been a solid second-rounder, but come on. Don't tell us you were happy with that pick. I have more respect for you than that.

And he comes from a good family. We all know why Ginn was drafted.

ONE MORE TIME, the Pats don't NEED to get the points value if they have a particular trade in mind. Think!

Ginn is a ROUND ONE TOP 10 pick. CJ is a 2nd round pick. Plus, CJ is not a high std to measure against.

EDIT: and Ginn's 2 TDs is 'way more' than CJ's THREE TDs???

Umm... what?

Ahh forget it, not even worth it. It's obvious you don't have anything to support your opinion.

Actually I have plenty of numbers. I'm sure you'll love hearing them!!
Let's put it this way, instead of taking Ted Ginn Jr. #9 overall for a kick returner you could have spent a 5th round pick and gotten much the same performance.

For example Steve Breaston, who was taken in the 5th round by the Arizona Cardinals.

What are their numbers this year you may ask? Glad you asked!

Ted Ginn Jr. 2007
http://www.nfl.com/players/tedginnjr./careerstats?id=GIN403290

Punt Returns
15 for 188 12.5 avg 1 TD

Kick Returns
45 for 1,080 24.0 avg

Breaston
http://www.nfl.com/players/stevebreaston/careerstats?id=BRE019124

Punt Returns
32 for 348 10.9 avg 1 TD

Kick Returns
47 for 830 22.4 avg

I'm sure you'd like to quote Ginn's receiving abilities, which are pretty much nonexistent. 18 for 259 14.4 avg and 1 TD.

What could the Dolphins have taken instead at #9? Amobi Okoye or Brady Quinn come to mind. Why spend a top 10, 1st round pick on a Kick Returner, when you can get almost the same performance out of a 5th round pick?? This obvious fact apparently escaped the Doofins "braintrust", if you can call it that. :D

I would imagine we are likely to break the record for the biggest divisional lead over an opponent. I checked and when the Bears were 15-1, the Buccaneers were 2-14, so maybe that's the record.

We have much to be thankful for from the lphins. Looks like their owner is sorta stuck on 'Groundhog Day' hiring incompetent coach after incompetent coach. Imagine someone selecting KR Ginn and INT plagued Beck with two high picks!

The 2007 Miami Dolphins will go down as the WORST NFL TEAM IN HISTORY!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The great thing is whenever the ’72 Dolphins are mentioned, the 2007 Dolphins will be as well.

Perfection forever affiliated with failure. Enjoy Shula.

I am kind of rooting for them to win 3 games so the Pats pick #1 overall.

Could you imagine if the Patriots went 16-0 on the season, and the Dolphins went 0-16 that same season? That would be historic, as in not a single one of us would live to see that happen again in our lifetime. I don't care if any of us live to be 100. No team in NFL history has ever gone 16-0 in the regular season. No team in NFL history has ever gone 0-16 in the regular season. For both to happen at the same time? That's the NFL equivalent of Halley's Comet. I hope it happens, and I hope I can tell my grandchildren about it when I'm gray and old.
